I agree that it would take away from GNC male rep but I don't like the implication that feminine men are as intolerated as trans women or how feminine men are more subversive than trans women because it is ignoring how:

There are many feminine males in anime and anime-adjacent media. You could argue that they don't count for much because of how a lot of them are made into simple jokes/fetishes by text but that argument could also apply to trans-coded (especially transfem coded) characters. They're both made into jokes. I'd argue that there are more feminine men that aren't made into jokes than there are transfems taken seriously. Raiden Metal Gear, Link from the Zelda series, many male characters from Genshin, Ansel and Mizuki and Arene and Bison from Arknights, etc. The argument that [feminine men are made as jokes in media] can also be used for trans women. In fact, I'd argue that while feminine men are made as jokes by the fandom, a lot of them are taken seriously as real character by the media itself. It just doesn't register because the text itself never explicitly looked you in the eye and said "that is a femboy", they just gave that dude feminine features but still treated them as men. The same cannot be said for trans girls in media. There are much less canon trans girls in the mainstream media much less one treated as not a joke or in a dehumanizing way by fandom of said media. Kirara is one of the trans characters that was not treated as a joke by the text itself but many in the fandom treat her in fetishizing way or as a joke (insert that tired joke about levers and casinos). Many people outside of niche spaces prefer feminine men over trans women. Jax as an example is treated as a feminine man outside Tumblr, Reddit, and the more character-analysis side of YT. Her struggles and experiences as more linked to toxic masculinity as a cis man than toxic masculinity and internalized misogyny as a trans woman. There's also something to be said as to the tendency to think of trans experiences as something alien to the "normal people" instead of it being a human experience.

In most of the world, feminine men are MUCH more accepted by society. Even in explicitly queer spaces, you will see more people trying to suppress trans people (especially trans women). The amount of times I read a comment by Filipino gay men and other "progressive" queer people openly say "transwomen are transwomen and will never be women" "be proud that you're bakla and do not pretend to be a woman" is so side-eye worthy when queer pop culture such as drag in Filipino media are inspired from Western drag and Black & LatAm ballroom culture pioneered by trans people, and how pride parade in Filipino is derived from pride parades in America (which btw, is pioneered by many trans people too). The amount of sentiments of [being "bakla" is nothing to be ashamed of so you shouldn't pretend to be a woman] I see online and in real life already tells me that even more progressive people denies trans people—especially trans women—their gender identity.

I also don't like the sentiment that GNC men would find it hard to relate to Ralsei as a trans woman. You can relate to someone even if they're a different gender or if they're not trans. It's not like trans people are aliens.
