To the haters:
I know that you say you hate me, but it’s okay – I know the truth. You don’t hate me for my weaknesses; you hate me for my strengths. You hate yourself and you take it out on me. You’d hate me if I was pretty, you’d hate me if I wasn’t. You’d hate me for what I have and you’d hate me for what I lack.
At first, I’ll admit, you seemed a little intimidating because of the force that you fling the venom on your words, but once I looked closer, I can see you for what you really are: jealous, self-centred and insecure. You love to judge on someone unnecessarily because you think it will make you better, even if only in your own mind. But funny thing, whenever I confront you to your face, suddenly you figure out how to shut your mouth. Do you know what that reminds me of? A cockroach. A hater will find and try to exploit every dark little corner, every crack and every weakness, but as soon as you shine a light on their actions, they flee and try to find a weaker target or another dark corner.
If you’re jealous of me, then it only means one thing: I have something that you lack. If you hate me, then you admire me in some way. Hating is just an ugly form of flattery. Or maybe you’ll claim that you don’t have a specific reason to throw hate around and try to make others inferior to you, but people hate the things that they can’t get, don’t understand or the people that they can’t be.
Love me or hate me, you’re thinking about me. You’re wasting your energy on me when I don’t care about you. You’re taking the time out of your pathetic life to think about me. So, thank you. I’m very sincerely flattered. Hating me is just a compliment and shows how jealous, bored, insecure and scared you are. You can throw all the stones you want at me, you can talk all the smack you want to about me and the only people that will believe you are the same jealous, weak, bored, insecure and scared individuals that will eventually turn on you and do the same behind your back.
Sure, you have the right to say what you think and I will be the first person to admit that I am far from perfect and I am very aware of my faults. You have the right to judge me without knowing who I really am, but I have the right to not give a single fuck about you or your opinions. While you’re gossiping about me and doing the same old negative dance, I’m making the choice to move on and continue on in my humble life, trying to do my best to succeed and to be the best person I can be. If you’re going to be jealous of something, be jealous of that.
So keep talking. Please. Let everyone see you for what you really are.
