A couple of weeks before Mom and Luke’s wedding, Jess shows up. Rory almost has a heart attack the first time she sees him, sprawled casually on a bench with a copy of something folded in one hand.

What if the boyfriend boxes made an appearance when Rory was engaged? General banter-ful romp through a free-for-all conversation between Lorelai, Rory, Sookie, Lane, and Jess.

She doesn't know what will be worse to her mom – potentially sleeping with your boyfriend at a party or running off with him to New York City in the middle of the night.

Set during Rory and Jess’ senior year. What it might have been like if Rory had a bit more of a backbone and Jess had a bit more of an idea that sometimes he just needed to be there with her.

Rory doesn't say no to Jess and they proceed to spend the summer together, traveling from New York City to Venice Beach on an impromptu road trip.
