Genesis had originally created Dozer, His first ever creation, to be His messenger and most trusted individual. Once Dozer's decent began, He decided to make two other creations—The Originals—KooKoo and Litany. KooKoo served as Genesis' new messenger, and Litany served as the Sinners' caretaker. Litany loved their job, truly! They got to help out Sinners and calm their wary souls, making sure their path to redemption was easy.
Unfortunately, as Dozer began to defend into madness from ■■■■■■■■■, xe grew more worried. Hoping xey would be able to help it, xey went hunting for him. They were far from Genesis' lands by that point, and He had no grasp or protection for them anymore. It was in Someone Else's domain now. Poor little Litany continued venturing forward, determined and not scared in the slightest.
A rather foolIsh decIsIon.
Someone New approached them, asking why xe was in such a dangerous land, to which xey replied, "I came looking for my best friend, Dozer. Its behavior has been troubling me, so I wanted to find where he had gone."
"i see.. Yes, i have seen your frIend, LItany. i can take you to It," they replied.
"Oh, that would be splendid–" but it froze.
Litany never told them xer name.
They took a few steps back, their feathers standing on end out of instinct as The Other slithered forward.
"FIgured It out? Took you long enough. You were always the dullest of the two."
Their words stung, but Litany knew it was true. Xe could never amount to KooKoo's swiftness or Dozer's knowledge. All it had was bravery. And bravery always led them to the most dangerous situations.
The Other's words cut deep.
"DId you really thInk you could save hIm? No, no, It's In my control, now."
Litany was immediately consumed with fear.
"What did you do to it." they swiftly inquired. All they were met with was a sharp bark of laughter.
"Poor LItany, you'll never be able to help It. You'll never be worthy. Go home, lIttle bIrd."
Litany didn't know what to do. Xe felt scared, confused,
They knew their will was crumbling, and without a second thought, they turned away.
They turned their back from Sin.
It was xer fault. Now Dozer will forever be hurt, in pain.
THEIR FAULT. THEIR FAULT. THEIR FAULT. THEIR FAULT. THEIR FAULT. THEIR FAULT. THEIR FAULT. THEIR FAULT. THEIR FAULT. THEIR FAULT. THEIR FAULT. THEIR FAULT.
Litany had fallen soon after. They had given into Sin, and were forever destined to hurt Sinners after.
Until one day, they wept. They had beheaded a poor, innocent soul—just like the hundreds before—but they wept. Xer tears fell onto the ground, feathers falling out of wings as it wondered why it was so worthless.
Until the Sinner twitched.
Their body rose, and their hands shook.
They were moving even without their head.
The Sinner glanced up at Litany, and was amazed at their form. They looked like an angel of sorts.
"I.. did... you revive me?"
Litany froze, unsure of what to do, even as the Sinner kept on speaking.
"Oh, I.. I cannot thank You enough! All that endless running, and- and.." their voice trailed off.
Litany immediately spout out a lie.
"I- I took those terrible memories from your poor soul, my child! Surely you are better off without them?"
The Sinner nodded—er- at least, it looked like they did.
"Good- Fanatastic! Now.. come on..! I can take you somewhere where you'll be safe."
They extending a wing, and the Sinner-
the Guille took it gladly.
"it's a pleasure to be in Your presence."
