Going through some old knitting photos. This is the only time I've ever done stranded knitting! All my other colorwork is double knitting. (I did try intarsia once... not a fan.)
I had a lot of trouble carrying the yarn at the correct tension, which is why it's bumpy (though I'm still proud of it).

really not happy with how that last hour-or-so of weaving went (tension issues galore, uneven stuff with terrible edges), but now that the scarf is off the loom I don't think I can hate it. Sunny crème brûlée thing

I wanted to try a brown stripe but both colors are handdyed with variations so it's not very striking (that works for me)
I knit this kerchief! Pattern by tincanknits. It was very fiddly and took me forever but I like how it turned out.

Finished my latest knitting project just in time for the beginning of warmer days lol.
what you learn from hobbies:
consistent practice opens up whole worlds of skill that you couldn't imagine
making mistakes in the process of learning is not only natural, it is also essential
activities that you enjoy can give you more energy back than you spent on them

I don’t like specific lists of things to accomplish in a year so I don’t vibe with make9s or long term project planning BUT I do love checking off squares and marking off things I did so I’m trying bingo.
No specific patterns or designs, theoretically fiber craft agnostic, hopefully a good mix of being encouraged to try new things without being overly prescriptive about it.
