I’m on a Truffula Screams kick, so I’m sharing stuff about the spooky mans first!
1. Isabella’s death - Truffula Screams
Back during the first version of the AU (and the ask blog), I wanted to make this short comic that would go over the ultimate demise of Isabella.
Before the Boogeyman would come to the decision of having his own mother killed, he would go over about how over the many years of his supernaturally extended life he had come to the realization that Isabella has been encouraging him to change his plan for Greenville, which originally in the first version of the story I planned on him eventually wanting full control of everyone in the town to become human little beasts, because the first little beasts were the animals in the truffula forest, and then he’d later extend his bubble to other towns, etcetera.
He simply became more aware of just how subtle his mother’s manipulations had become, and just how long she had been manipulating him. This of course angers him, leading him to eventual decision to end Isabella entirely via controlling the little beasts to do it for him after calling her to his office, which was going to lead into his next phase as a character, but at the time I was super burnt out from learning what running an ask blog was like.
I never finished the comic, as you can see from the lack of dialogue and the incomplete story just based on the pictures drawn, but the idea sort of came to fruition anyway (yay)!
The new and current version of the AU is actually post-Isabella Death, so she is deceased now. The way I sort of had that eased into the new version of the AU was that when I had the ask blog go on hiatus, all of the characters ‘died’, and later when I redesigned the Boogeyman he was the one that brought everything else back except for his own mother (he stitched Brett and Chet together, Ted is a zombie, etc).
It was just sort of how I intended him to eventually become the evil being that he is now, clearly he’s not ‘friendly’ silly as he is ‘wicked’ silly now, and that’s why. Killing the mother of the Boogeyman by the Boogeyman himself leveraged him a ton of power and ultimately control over his original plan like he had wanted. I just never talked about it, because the comic was abandoned, and so was the idea at one time.
BUT ANYWAY! He’s all evil wicked scary monster man like I wanted him to become, just not the way I had planned back in 2024, so enjoy the two-year-old leftovers like the worms you all are. Jake loves you. :3
