I think the importance of any Keeper character is inversely proportional to the amount of pagetime they get

Cyrah, Caprise, and Prentice get almost no page time, and aren't mentioned for stretches of several books at a time, and yet everything seems to be coming back to them. It's almost as though the true plot of Keeper happened a decade ago, and this series is just watching the consequences of it unfold.

Or thousands of years ago, even. We still don't know how it all fits together, but Vespera, Fintan, Fallon, and Luzia are all starting to be linked back to it as well.

It almost feels like there's some kind of recurring cycle. The group twelve years ago was working to uncover old secrets, almost the same as the present-day crew, and their fates [brain damage, deaths, missing memories] seem remarkably similar to those of the Ancients.
