Tic toc tic toc – the clock strikes

Dug dug dug dug—the heart whines

The night’s silence is deafening.

3 AM is scary as:

It awakens the sleeping siren

It reincarnates the buried grief

It stirs up the resting anger—a robber of peace.

I am scared of Witches

As I am terrified of its scream

Behind the silence, it creeps in

HI-HI-HI-HI! It screech

Riding a broom she goes woossh-wossh!

Her scream is an agony to thine ears.

The loudest scream is not the one

That wakes up a sleeping child in the middle of the night.

The most unwanted can be deafening—

It soothes down your emotions

It won’t let you sleep.

It is speaking.

Listen very close.

It can be heard through whispers, silence, and noise itself.

It hides itself in a form of a wound, a scar, a tear, and a smile.

I am terrified of Witches

As I am petrified with its scream.

As a human puzzled with our own yearnings and emotions
