Beltane is a pagan holiday celebrated on May 1st. In many parts of the world, people gather, dressed in exotic clothing, chanting prayers to the god Bel. These rituals often feature loud drums and bonfires, which participants may jump over for various reasons, such as seeking good luck. The fire is considered sacred and is believed to purify those who take part. Many claim that it possesses “magical and transformative properties,” and that the smoke from these sacred fires brings “good fortune” to those in attendance.

The good consists in participation in the rational and creative order of reality, while evil consists in ignorance, disorder, and the refusal of being.

As Good Friday and Easter approach, Christians gather to remember and celebrate the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. To believers, He is the Savior who sacrificed Himself to redeem humanity from sin. Through His suffering, death, and triumph over the grave, He offers all people the hope of entering the Kingdom of God. This season calls for reflection, gratitude to Christ, and praise to God for sending Him. The resurrection reminds us that death is not the end, but a doorway to eternal life.
