Mariel ‘Mia’ Hamm is a 54 year old philanthropist and former athlete. She is widely considered one of the best and most influential female soccer players of all time. She played as a forward for the United States national team from 1987 to 2004. She was also the face of the Women’s United Soccer Association, the first professional women’s soccer league in the United States, where she played for the Washington Freedom from 2001 to 2003. She retired from the sport in 2004. Today, Mia is a co-owner of Angel City FC and LAFC.
