SCOOBY DOOBY DOO, LILYPADS! It’s finally time to unveil the incredible illustrated cover of my #ScoobyDoo novel THE HEX GIRLS: A ROGUE THORN! I cannot believe there is official artwork of Scooby characters with my name attached.

I’m also so grateful and honored that my version of The Hex Girls—the same characters but as an all Black girl band like “a goth Destiny’s Child”—were depicted accurately. Warner Brothers and Get Underlined were so thoughtful and considerate to consult me to make sure I felt comfortable with how Thorn, Dusk, and Luna were represented on the cover.

My utmost thanks to Dario Brizuela for this breathtaking art and Marianna Smirnova for the amazing full jacket design of the hardcover (you won’t believe how much MORE beautiful the full jacket is)! The back cover might actually be my favorite part!

Now that we have this beautiful art to accompany my screaming, expect to hear a lot more from me about the book and the process of writing it leading up to the release on August 26th! Including a slate of fun summer events I hope to announce very soon.

But gang, first we need to split up: I’ve got to post this everywhere and you need to head to your favorite retailer to preorder the book! Anywhere is great, but I recommend my local independent bookstore Grit City Books, where you can request a signed copy by putting your personalization requests in the order notes.
