Tara: As far as I am aware, care to change that? I think I'd be more inclined to watch cartoons. I've seen enough NCIS or whatever it was to last me a lifetime.

Tara: Or it's two completely different situations.

Lily: Gladly.

Tara: I really can't wait to get to spend time with both of you. I haven't watched much of anything apart from MMA.

Tara: To extent, maybe you do.

Lily: You free this weekend? I watch a lot of crime shows and cartoons.

Tara: Awww, how is she? I should probably invest in Netflix, I keep getting told that I should watch things on there.

Tara: I wouldn't say that, it's just different. Not used to living by myself like this yet. It's very quiet.

Lily: She's good, she's good. It's a decent investment. Even if I only watch stuff I've already seen.

Tara: Then I'll take something as good.

Tara: I'm ok, I promise. Still adjusting to life as a civvy, I guess.

Lily: Caitlin's in bed and I'm watching NCIS on Netflix. It's not a bad night.

Tara: Or something? That doesn't sound promising. Can I help at all?

Tara: I'm ok

Lily: Or something is normal for me. Anything above or below is alcohol induced.

Tara: Hey, how are you?

Lily: I'm alright, or something.

Scout: I know you didn't say you weren't okay, I'm just worried, I'm sorry.

Scout: I'll come over now. I've got homemade hot chocolate mix and cookies. Anything else you or Caitlin (I'm assuming she's with you) want?

Lil: No, I know. It's fine. I've never been good at this.

Scout: I'm sorry, I just want to make sure you're okay because your tone doesn't seem like you're okay...

Scout: That's a good point. I have my first day off in forever so I kind of forgot that not everyone is off today. Can I come over later?

Lil: Never said I wasn't. Just said I'd be fine, and I will be.

Scout: Nope. That's not an acceptable answer. I'm coming over with hot drinks and vegan cookies and you can't stop me.

Lil: so is the truth not an acceptable answer anymore?

Scout: Baby, you know I can't just worry about me, I'm worried about you. I'm a worrier, it's what I do.

Scout: Can I do anything to make you feel better?

Scout: If you need me to define okay than I'm going to assume you're not okay. What's going on?

Lil: Or I just have a very loose interpretation of the word.

Scout: Are you okay?

Scout: My darling Lil, I miss you. I'm sorry I've been a bad girlfriend because I've been burying myself into 50 hour work weeks. You know work and alcohol are my only escapes and since I somehow want to stop drinking I've been replacing that with work, but that's kind of the same thing, right? I don't know... Anyway I miss you and I'm going to take you on a date this weekend. If that's okay with you.

[minutes of typing later]

Sam: Don't be sorry, you're right. I'm being irrational because I was unhappy for so many years and I just want to start my life with Jayne, you know?

Sam: The only thing you need to be sorry about is not telling me about the fact that you found out you had a sister. Like what?!?

Lily: Still, I feel bad.
