It's the air that I breathe...

It was supposed to be a big deal, proper ending of season 2, my biggest dream (of course full colored and with a background)… but I was trying to finish this for months and still nothing… I’m stuck here forever :( So. Due to the fact that I will never finish this, I decided to show you at least what I did (or started doing).

Hi!  This time I made a very special fanart - it’s an illustration based on a wonderful story “Paradise” written by @lilium-heart. It all happend right after the defeat of The Organization in the end of Season 1. And a scene from the drawing begins the whole story…

Hey! As some of you may have noticed, after three new months of absence I’ve kinda made my Tumblr come back, which was followed by another three weeks of absence and now here I am again. Well, life is just like this, I’m sorry…

So… I was checking some blogs and noticed that our dear @fablewolf44​ has been reblogging some older posts, namely this one. This post by @sarkazmwherbacie​ is some years old, but I think it only partially applies. I mean, yes, the fandom seems dead sometimes and for sure it would be great if we could post more; but it always comes back to life sooner or later :) And I hope it always keeps that way. I’ll take this opportunity to thank all the people that have been more active in #huntik lately, namely @huntikgifs, @jesslysue, @fablewolf44, @earannariven, @delia-onnel, etc. Thank you for keeping this fandom alive! And I’d like to extend this thank to all the Huntik fandom, not only on Tumblr, but also FF.net and other websites, for simply existing and making my life so much better :’)

As for myself and the fanfiction department, first I wanted to say that I’m sorry. I’m sorry because I was completely unable to touch my ongoing fics neither during the whole time I’ve been doing my master thesis nor during these four months that followed it, not only because of work, but also (I’ll admit) other distractions. Though at least I could go back to reading some works in the Huntik FF.net website and now have a long list of reviews that are yet to be written. I just wanted to tell you that I may be back at writing soon. It doesn’t mean I’ll be posting soon though because my scarce free time will probably only allow me to be as slow as ever. Also, I’m entering this gloomy area that is Klaus matter coming back to Zhalia’s mind and life, which means there will be several points in which I’ll get stalled and won’t know what to do. Anyway, this post and other posts of sort, that @fablewolf44 decided to bring back to life (thank you for that!), kind of brought back my motivation to restart as soon as I can. That and this amazing fic:

Why this particular one? Well, first because it’s a great Zhante story and it came in a time in which cute Zhante-focused stories seemed to be dead. Seriously, the Huntik  FF.net website can be dead for weeks and finding a good Zhante story or a new author is really a hype for me. And, God, it was just so great to read it! I recommend it 200% (it’s rated T, but should be M because of one particular section, so be warned). And, you know, to see other people write or create art about Zhante and be able to see such heart-warming works is also an inspiration for me to write mine. Also, this story came in line with this post and was written by this new author, Rrenell (she has another great fic about Zhalia, it’s called “Beyond the Seeker Realm” and it shows her in quite an “unual” perspective). But in the end of “And her name was Moon” she says, I’ll quote:

“Huntik is, without a doubt, one of those shows that holds a special place in my heart. No matter how much time passes, I will always harbor a soft spot for this amazing series and the untapped potential it still has. I’m glad to see other Huntik fans out there. Keep writing, guys! Let’s help this fandom grow”

Now that’s how we all feel, isn’t it? And in the end she tells us to keep writing! To help the fandom grow! So, yeah, keep writing, keep reading, keep drawing, keep posting! And never give up! Because the Huntik fandom will always be here for us, if we can keep it alive! And I know, I know that school, uni, work… sometimes they force us to be absent. But don’t forget to come back, stop by, leave a message, a comment, even a like… Because we have to support each other, inspire each other, tell the others what we think of their art, leave them a like, a message, a small comment, it can be as simple as two or three words… Really, that’s what keeps me going and I think is what keeps us going.

Mulan sits in the rain underneath the statue of the Great Stone Dragon (who is looking down on her), and suddenly decides on a course of action. She looks up, resolved to go to war in place of her father and runs into the temple where she lights the match and beseeches protection for her family. The stone she bows to and that we see lit up by lightening strike is that of the dragon, whose eyes are looking out after her, lit from underneath by the candles. The scene transitions to the divider in the house that also has an icon of the dragon. where she replaces her hair comb with the summons. Then we see the sword hilt, also the dragon, and as she draws the blade we see her face replace it. She ties up her hair, then as she opens the wardrobe, the handles are also the dragon. After donning the armor, the view shows her facing us, with the hilt of the sword (the face of the dragon) in front of her face, where she then turns the sword to reveal her face, and sheaths it. As she leaves, we flash back to the temple, and the eyes of the dragon flash as her grandmother wakes up.
