You wonder why I question everything you do.

It’s how we were raised, taught in school: Make a hypothesis, question the theories.

You’re young but old at the same time. You’re told you need to go towards a path that can sustain yourself, but you can’t find that path. No one told you it would be easy. No one told you it would be this hard either.

“Run!” she said. So I ran past the trees and the birds I once loved. I skipped over the river my mother would bathe me in as a child. It only took a day to enter the city - the city of dreams.

I fell into the rhythm of the “real world” and looked towards the goals of those who were successful and ahead. They said I’d be happy here, but I had already forgotten what happy meant. My dreams were no longer my dreams; they were the dreams of my friends, teachers and acquaintances. Every moment had a deadline attached to monetary value. I was always reaching for something out of reach. 

This is not how I imagined it would be when I listened to Her. Now I am lost.

I’ve lost my Identity.

You promised me "I'll catch you when you fall" I've fallen once, twice... Too many times to count.

You only write about Sad, What about Happy?

Emotions asked.

Can't you see? There is no Happy.

The Consequence

They say the past will never be forgotten. It is suspended in a time capsule, a picture, a memory. There is a story in every still moment. There is a moment in every minute. Time keeps our secrets safe.

Do you remember when nothing mattered? We didn't have a care in the world. Do you remember when friends were people you met up with everyday and not another face on Facebook. Remember the time we used to talk on the phone every night? The hardest question of all: Do you remember what happened?
