Hello folks! I’ve been a lurker of the community for a couple years, but finally decided I’d come out as a self-shipper and join in the fun.

I’m a self-shipper mostly for the reasons everyone else seems to have. It is also a coping mechanism for me.

I am hella chill with doubles of my platonic F/Os! Romantic doubles are a little iffy for me- I won’t say DNI, because I’m not like that. HOWEVER, maybe limit the romantic talk around me if you’re talking to me directly.

Here is my finished project! It took me several-ish hours today?

Some spots for Netjeru on the altar have been removed- not out of ill will. I prayed about it, I made sure They knew that it was not intended to offend Them- I’m sure They knew already, but it doesn’t hurt to hear it from me. Those objects have been set away, but still in plain view.

From left to right, we have: Lord Khepri, Lord Ptah, Lord Nefertum, Lord Sutekh, Lord Inpu, and Lord Tehuti.

Funny- I just realized that this whole altar is now for male Netjeru?? My bedside one is for female Netjeru. I seem to be closest with female Netjeru, but I assume that’s only natural.

Last night, I cleansed the bedside altar. Problem is, I forgot to anoint the statues. It’s part of my personal practice to cleanse a new altar or icon, stuff like that, and anoint the icons with blessed oil. Uh, whoops? So now, I’m double cleansing the side altar just for good measure and anointing. I have so many icons to do it for on the main altar. Geez, I may need two sticks of incense!

We ain’t even gonna talk about all the tools I must cleanse. But it’s all part of my practice, and I am reopening both the altars and my tools.

The “main” altar is still a WIP, but it’s going along fairly smoothly.

It has basically all the items removed here- they will be rearranged, some will be stored away entirely. I would like to take down the AI poster- my mother gave it to me, as she’s not well versed in AI.

I have taken too big of a lapse, and I need to get back into it. I am cleaning the altars, starting with the bedside one that hosts the Netjeru I am closest to.

I do not want these beautiful Gods to think I have forsaken Them, or am coming back because I need something from Them. I am ready to become a servant for Them.

I need a refresher on religious practice, and my specific rituals. I have let certain important things about Kemeticism grow dusty in my mind, and that’s not acceptable.
