lift fast die young

okay so i’ve been so a few U/tás recently and i’ve gathered some information. take all of this with a grain of salt, but i figured i’d share what i know.

🌻 while at my 3rd U/ta, i noticed after picking something up off the shelf that a faint peeping sound was coming from under the display. it got progressively louder (if i recall correctly) as i held onto the product. i pretended to look ‘for a different shade’ as an excuse to scope out what the beeping was. THERE ARE NOW SENSORS UNDER THE SHELVES. maybe they are motion sensors that can detect whether or not you’ve put the item back? i’m not sure. all i know is that they are black boxes and on the beeping black box, there was a printed label with the brand name on it. I looked at other shelves and they also had these sensors. I’ve only ever seen these at one location, but please check for them. you wouldn’t want to get caught because of them. 🌸my advice? maybe carry something over from the drug store section and replace it there with the item you’re lifting? any other ideas?🌸

🌻 a few days ago, i went to my closest U/tá that i NEVER lift at because they’re so tight in security there. like i’m never left alone and this one employee for some reason ALWAYS follows me or makes sure that someone follows me/ gives me a basket. there’s my preface to this story. SO, i go inside simply just to look around with a friend about half an hour after the store opened and there are 5 EMPLOYEES standing on either side of the door. 3 were in uniform, but the other 2 were plain clothes. i knew they were workers because they were chatting up the employees and laughing and didn’t move the whole time we were there. i thought to myself that might be LP, but is usually LP tends to be older or male… these two people looked like college females and BOTH HAD A BLACK SELMA AROUND THERE ARMS. BOTH. that’s when it hit me: these are probably bait employees who rat out suspicious customers to the SA and LP. I could totally be wrong, but i’m pretty positive they weren’t LP. i left after 5 minutes of being in there because they made me SOO uncomfortable, and i wasn’t even lifting! it was just so weird to have 5 people staring at you and not even greet you or say goodbye that work somewhere.

🌸my advice? don’t use the selma. don’t use a black purse at all in fact. it’ll put a huge red flag on you. also, if you see a “customer” with one, PLEASE STAY AWAY. they could just be a customer, but they also could be an undercover employee. it’s better safe than sorry. 🌸

🌻 I can confirm that U/TÁ TESTER STICKERS ARE RFID. I have seen it at every location i go to. pay very close attention to these stickers the next time you’re in.

🌸my advice? peel them off (of course) or just don’t get the tester. i don’t really like the testers because they’re used and usually pretty dirty haha! 🌸

🌻NOT ONLY PALETTES ARE TAGGED. omg guys PLEASE check for stickers. i have seen soo many products with RFID stickers that weren’t expensive palettes. I will say, all of these items i have found were tagged on the outside very obviously, but please check the inside as well. you can never be too safe. i personally have found the following products to be tagged before:

i have also found the following big palettes either RFID tagged, tagged with the White Box of Death, or put up by the register to prevent theft:

🌹ABH Modern Renaissance (up by register) 🌹Two Faced Naturally Pretty (White Box of Death) 🌹UD Naked Palette (ALL OF THE ABOVE) 🌹UD Naked Basics (RFID and White Box) 🌹Two Faced Sweet Peach (ALL OF THE ABOVE) 🌹Tarte Proglow (RFID) 🌹 ANY Two Faced Chocolate Bar (RFID and White Box) 🌹 Anastasia Cream Contour (RFID)

now these are the products i have personally seen MYSELF to be tagged or whatnot. my point being, ALWAYS CHECK FOR TAGS.

🌸my advice? ALWAYS CHECK PLEASE GOODNESS. NEVER ASSUME THEY ARENT TAGGED. check the inside and outside for RFID stickers and peel them off!! 🌸

🌸White Box of Death: AVOID. GOODNESS. they have cameras and alarms and they will not come off. i’ve seen some people say that this is the only way it’s acceptable to debox and leave the box on the display, but i’d just avoid it all together. products with these vary by location and i’m sure you can find a Naked Palette somewhere without this box. it’s safer. remember, packaging left being is evidence. don’t lead them to believe anything.

🌸Register: any tips? idk any good ones🌸

🌻 U/TÀ KNOWS ABOUT THE COTTON BALL TRICK. before i joined the community, i read a post about how some employees were taught about the cotton ball trick at an official LP meeting.

🌸my advice? find another large, low priced item that is about the same size as the cotton balls. i say cheap because well first, it looks a lot more sus carrying around 2 large curling irons in your bag and then not purchasing them makes t worse. second, if you get into a pickle, you can hop in line to purchase this and not blow the bank because you picked up something expensive. also, employees WILL NOTICE AND PAY ATTENTION TO YOU if you have something expensive and large in your bag. it’s a red flag. 🌸

🌻 ALL PERFUMES ARE RFID. MOST ARE ALSO ON THE INSIDE. i’ve heard on multiple accounts that the perfume and cologne are usually double tagged, yes that’s right. THEY ARE ON THE INSIDE OF THE PLASTIC.

🌸my advice? avoid all together. it’s too sus to open the plastic AND the packaging 🌸
