Well, I can't really help it. Worrying about you, at least a little bit... that's my job, you know? Parental responsibility and all.

I am writing this from the comfort of my beach chair. I was told by Flynn that this blog that I have access to connects directly to the Grid—so any of you can come and ask me things! That is so neat. Feel free to send inquires! I miss all of you.

Do not worry, I have been equipped with “sun-screen” so I will be okay! I have been told that the sun has that effect. Even while it helps the Users so much, like with growing food and creating energy, there are also unwanted drawbacks.

Oh? I have not heard about Alan-One being so sensitive to the sun. Do you have any stories to share of this? I would love to hear more.

And yes! Water! There is lots of water at the beach. Though, someone raised their voice when I attempted to drink the ocean water already. Perhaps that is not a normal thing to do.

I know from hard experience that Programs have a lower tolerance for high temperatures. And since my trip to your world? Well, I want to keep Programs safe. You and Yori are top of that list since I was created by your Users. Humans are kinda funny that way. 

Anyway, I was a kid and we all went to the beach. Pop...er, Alan-One...did the driving, so he was kinda tired when we got there. Mom got out the sunscreen and made sure everyone took breaks in the shade, but he dozed off in a chair. He woke several hours later and he was BRIGHT red. Every spot but his shorts was burned. He was miserable until it healed. He hasn’t forgotten the sunscreen since. 

Sorry for getting back to you so late. I was without “service” for a bit there. I’m back now!

Thank you for caring so much about Programs though, and about me specifically. I’m trying very hard to adapt to this world and it seems to be treating me okay to far. You’re right about having to look out for things that could injure us. That’s important. I feel for Alan-one—“Pop”. It’s good he knows now about the sun, unfortunate that he had to learn that way, however.

Are you still on the Grid, or are you here with me in this world? Perhaps someday we could meet up. I’d like that.

Because this is his brave, clever sister and his scary, amazing brother who are so much like his own mom and dad (okay, he’s from LA. He’s sure there are weirder family arrangements...) and they are so very young, very happy, and complete utter dorks.
