The comments section of any recipe column or website, in summary
I/my dog/kid/boss’ girlfriend is allergic to the main ingredient in this food and the recipe writer is a horrible person for not providing an infinite list of other swaps and/or is a terrorist/liberal snowflake/puppy-kicker for telling me to grow the heck up and do the research myself, and I will doxx any commenter here who tells me to google something actually relevant instead of just complaining, meanwhile ignoring the disservice I am doing to people with real food sensitivities who also know how to cook and research and shut the hell up because nobody wants to hear it.
I didn’t follow this recipe at all because I made swaps for every step and now I’m going to write 200 words about how my way is better instead of getting my own recipes column or website.
I didn’t follow the recipe and it didn’t come out. Why can’t someone just come to my house and cook this for me?
This recipe also works well with a reasonable substitute that has the same basic flavor profile and/or cooking time.
This recipe doesn’t taste like a recipe I never bothered to learn from a family member or friend who’s dead now, so I’m going to complain on general principle and not accept responsibility for failing to cherish people until they are gone.
Can I use a smaller pan/bigger pan/different pan or do I really have to bankrupt myself to own an eight inch rectangular tart pan with a removable bottom?
I make a bunch of assumptions about the recipe writer’s culture and lifestyle choices and then lecture everyone in the comments about how my rural survivalist aesthetic and/or urban and convenience-food aesthetic is the only practical way to do things and that’s why this country is falling apart. (See also the op-ed comments.)
That person who’s still using margarine.
Random kid RPing with weird, off topic conversations and other random kids RPing with return off-topic comments.
God/Mother Earth is great and you are all sinners for not eating raw/killing your own meat/buying my biodynamic seasoning mix.
The cook time on this was longer than the recipe said, I had to cook it four more minutes at the prescribed temperature in order to get (helpful details of color, texture).
I added kale/bacon/cheese to this and it was great.
This thing that the instructions say doesn’t keep well didn’t keep well.
