#MondayMotivationย #LifeLessonsย ย 1. ย Listen. ย Listen .. listen.. listen. ย Even when you don't agree, or when you firmly believe that the other person is talking utter nonsense. ย There may still be something to learn. ย So listen.
2. ย Never be ashamed to say " I don't know this" or "I never knew that." ย Truth and vulnerability helps manage expectations, and make you more approachable. ย It shows you're human.
3. ย Show respect to everyone. ย Everyone. ย The janitor, the mail room clerk, the maintenance worker. ย They see everything and know everything. They could probably run the whole outfit if given the opportunity.ย
4. ย Choose to see another person's perspective. It may be a horribly crappy perspective but it helps explain what motivates them, and that's important when it comes to understanding, working with, and/or managing personnel. ย No one says you have to agree. ย Insight is what is key.
5. ย Know when to end it. ย Not every battle is worth fighting. Not every problem requires a perfect solution... or any solution. ย You don't need everyone on-board. ย Know when to disengage and let go. ย
6. ย To thine own self be true. ย Know who you are and what you stand for. When push comes to shove and you are dealing with a crisis, you will default to who you are at the core. Worse thing is to be shocked by your own short comings. Know yourself.
7. ย Don't be afraid to speak up, or stand up for what you think is right. Even if you're the only one standing at the time. ย Have integrity. ย
8. ย Donโt let excellent get in the way of good enough. This is so important. ย If you do you will achieve nothing, deliver nothing, and fail at everything, leaving a trail of incompletes in your wake. This is the difference between doers and dreamers.ย Donโt condemn yourself to living in a world of extremes where something is either perfect or not done at all.
And lastly...
9. ย Finish strong.ย Finish weak. ย Finish tired. ย Finish slow.ย Finish fast. ย Finish however you must, but whatever you do, don't quit.... Finish.ย ย ย ย
