Life as a young thinker

This has been some terrible days for the world. Beside of the two things mentioned in the title, there has been some just as terrible actions in Lebanon and other places. I havn’t had the time to read into those things, so I am not gonna focus on them in this post, but keep in mind, that just because they happen in another part of the world, doesn’t mean I think they’re not as horrible. That’s one of the saddest things in this world. Yes, terror organisations make terroractions in the western part of the world, and that’s terrible. But what’s even more terrible is that things like this (even sometimes done by us), happens double (if not more) as many times as it does here. And only rarely the media tell us about it. When such actions happens in the US and Europa it’s terror. But when we do it to the east part of the world it’s power and control.... Exactly the same actions, just different names, so the world leaders don’t feel as terrible about it as they should. And so that everybody just buys it, and not stand up against it. So unfair.

That, however, is another talk. As written in the title I will be talking about Christina Grimmie and the Orlando shootings.

To be honest I didn’t knew who Christina Grimmie was before she got shot. I afterwards, watched her audition for The Voice, and oh my god, what a beautiful voice she had. So sad she had to die so young, and in such a way. When that’s said I want to point out that young people get killed everyday, and (don’t get me wrong), just because she was beautiful, talented, and probably kind, doesn’t mean we should treat her like a saint, just like we don’t do with anyone else who dies. Of course I think we should honor her, grief, pray for her family, have her in our thoughts and so on, but I’ve realized that lately, when famous people die, some people tend to stop their whole life, and act like the world is coming to an end. How come? I mean those people probably didn’t even know him or her. I understand when it’s someone close to you, but why act like that when someone famous die? It’s not that I don’t care they die, it just bothers me how people act like those famous peoples lives matters more than the ones in for example the east part of the world, who dies everyday because of war, terror, and hunger. I know we can’t grief for everyone who dies everyday, but I find it unfair, that famous people are being honored more, when those who die from, for example hunger, in most cases have struggled more up to their death. And don’t have the whole world to support them.  I don’t know if any of that even made sense, but I have been thinking about it for a long time, and I really needed to get it out. 

Now to the Orlando Shootings. How crazy, it’s not even three months ago I’ve been there. I was really chocked when I first heard. The people I saw on the street or in Wallmart could have been killed in this shooting. Or could have lost a family member, or a close friend. And when I saw them, they where just living their life, like always with no idea what would happen a couple months later.  In the title I wrote “the shooting against the lgbt+ community”. I did that, because this was not just a shooting against a club. This was a shooting against a whole community of people, who just wants to live their life, and be able to love the person they love, and be the person they are.  It’s difficult to discuss shootings like this in the USA, without talking about the gunlaw, which, now we’re talking about it, is the worst kind of bullshit I’ve ever heard.

This is an important point, and whoever end up being the president should consider the gunlaw as the first change in the US.

These pictures tell almost everything I have to say about this. Change that god damn gunlaw.. Maybe even seek a little inspiration in a country like Denmark’s law about it....

Tomorrow is the ultimate travel day! I’ve said this a lot, but I am so freaking excited!

Today I went to school for the last time before the trip. To be honest I’d expected people to be a little more sad that I’m leaving. Like no one, beside of one, wished me a good trip.. But I don’t know if that’s just me expecting too much. I mean I got a lot of really good friends in my class, and we talked about the fact that I’m going today, but when we where leaving the school no one even mentioned it. Probably I’m just expecting too much of people. I know I can’t expect them to be as excited about what happens in my life as I am. Of course not. So I guess I just expected too much, and then got disappointed. Sadly that is something that happens a lot to me. I expect too much of people and things I want to happen, and most of them don’t. I should lower my expectations so I would be surprised instead. 

Anyways, this is not gonna be a sad post, because I am still going to Florida tomorrow. No one can take that away from me. Also I finished all the homework that have to be done before the trip, so I can now relax the rest of the evening. We are leaving tomorrow at 10.30 am, and then my grandma is gonna take over the house. We have two cats and a lot of plants that can’t really be alone for that long so she’s gonna move in.

The hotel’s webpage said that there was free wi-fi in every room, but, speaking from personal experience, I know that it doesn’t always work as you want it to. That means that maybe I will not be able to post anything while I’m away.. Only time will show. 

To talk about something completely different; today I got my danish essay back for the second time. First we had to read a text, and then analyze it and write an essay. Then our teacher would read it and comment on it, and we made the corrections and then we had to hand it back to him, and he would grade us again. Honestly I don’t know about the grade-systems around in the world, but in Denmark we have -3, 00, 02, 4, 7, 10 and 12. You can only get -03 if you’re not handing anything in at all. You’re passed at 02. 4 and 7 is average. 7 is of course better in 4. 10 and 12 are both really good grades. 10 is over average, but still with things to work on. 12 is perfect. Anyways, on this essay I got a 10 the first time and I was really happy because our teacher can be pretty harsh, and for some reason I thought that it could only be better. But the second time I got 7... I was really disappointed because I really thought I did it so much better, and I was really happy with my work. I know 7 is still a great grade, but when you’re used to get 10 and 12 in danish it is a little difficult to accept. Again my expectations where too high. On the other hand I think I should take this as a wake up call to just take my self together and be even better. 

Maybe next time we speak will be tomorrow, or maybe it will be next week. Only time will show. 

In only two days I’m going to Florida, and I can tell you as we get closer, I don’t get less excited! 

Today I have been packing my suitcase for the trip, which didn’t make me less excited either. I am one of those people who just love packing. Actually I see the packing part as a part of the trip itself. I love how, when you pack, you know it’s soon. I am also one of those people who is 110% organized when packing. I’ve made a 3 side long list split into sections, topics and God knows what. Along with being that kind of person, I am also the person who always forgets something. I can’t go on any trip at all without forgetting at least one thing. Mostly it’s nothing important, and then when I realize what it is I’m all relieved and like “Oh God, at least it wasn’t something important this time”. Typical me.  Something I hate though is unpacking. For weeks the suitcase just stands in the middle of the room and takes up spaces. Stupid, I know, but I can’t help it. 

Today was also the day I decided to take an afternoon shower. I usually showers in the morning, because I like the freshness that comes with it, but today I thought it would be nice and spa-like to take a long warm afternoon shower. I refuse to believe that I’m the only one that think really deep thoughts when in the shower. Today the thoughts where mainly about how some people can believe so deeply in something (like a religion) while others can be so completely sure that it is in no way true. Like how different we actually are as humankind. That made me think about how religion is just something in our heads. Like no one ever seen religion. Or... Someone said they have, but how can we be sure. I mean in fact we can’t really trust anything before we’ve seen it with our own eyes. So religion is just trusting and believing what other people told. It’s kinda weird to think about that such an uncertain thing, can make people do such extreme stuff like killing. I do not think that all people in some kind of religion want to kill people, but I do think that some people in some kind of religion wants to kill because of that religion. Simply because they misunderstood the concept. Or maybe took it too literal. That’s another thing I think about religion. I think you should take it as a guide through life, and analyze the meaning in the stories in for example the bible, instead of taking it literal. But that is of course only my opinion. Luckily we are all allowed to have our own :)

That was some deep stuff coming out of a simple shower. One of the reasons I love showers. Another is the warm water running down your body. Ahh, love that feeling. 

Anyways, I’m gonna do some homework, and then head right into bed. 

Hello !

For about 3 weeks ago we ordered a vacation to Florida, and this Tuesday is the day we’re going. I am not able to describe my excitement. This will be the first time I’m ever going to the US, and I can’t wait to get over there. I am especially excited to try out my new camera. We’re going to Disneyland, so this would be my third time. The two others where in Paris though.. I will of course be sharing as many as possible pictures from there, when I get back home.

This week I also decided, with my best friend, to take a trip to London in the summer. It’s just the two of us, and that excites me a lot. We’re gonna be on our own for days, and we can just go around in London doing whatever we want. We’re gonna order the flight tomorrow, and then there’s no turning back. 

Beside of that I also try to get tickets to the second biggest festival in Denmark this summer with another good friend, and hopefully we’re gonna get them soon. 

I can easily say that 2016 is gonna be the best year ever. I’ve got so many things to be excited about, and life is just amazing in general.

Oh, and the weather was pretty good today as well. A thing you don’t often see in Denmark in March.. 

To get back to the Florida trip, I’ve packed three books: 

Girl Online by Zoella. Not much to say about it beside that it’s an amazing written book, with a really good story line, and I love the way it takes up a serious topic like anxiety, but still manage to be so light and happy. The Secret by Rhonda Byrne. I’m not that far in this book, but my mom have literally not been talking about anything else since she read it, and even through I’ve only read like ten pages, it is amazing. It is literally the secret of life. Read it if you want anything your heart desire. The 7 Habits of Highly Effective Teens by Stephen Covey . Another book recommended by my mom. An amazing tool to get through life in the best way. So inspiring and a fantastic way to deal with all the complications you’ll get through in your life. Makes me so happy and excited reading it. Love it.

So yeah, I got something for every mood. As long as I got these books, I don’t need any other entertainment for the flight. Buttttt I still packed a little more just in case. I packed a doodle book, downloaded two movies, and I am of course going to bring my computer so I can write.

I am currently writing a story about a liar. Don’t know if I’m gonna publish it anywhere yet, but if I am I’ll post some kind of links.  Also I found a post in here, which literally saved my life. Even through your good at writing, you can always learn something new, and this post got links to every kind of help you’ll need when you write. Everything from how to name your characters to how to end your story, to the best way to do brainstorm. I am not kidding when I say that there are every fucking (sorry for the language) thing you’ll ever need. I think there’s over 100 links... Anyways, I’ll reblog it in just a minute.
