Learning to date again. Learning what I want out of that and what parts of me I’m willing to sacrifice for love.

This weekend I went back home. I was able to connect with someone I consider to be one of my closest friends.

We had a night on the town and, as he does often, he told me and my homegirls how much he loves me and that I’m his soulmate. He’s married.

I usually ignore him and the advances he sends my way bc he only does this when we are in person which is rare since I moved away. This time I felt so gas lighted and used emotionally.

It’s been a tough 2 years for me emotionally and I felt like one of the individuals that I feel the safest with was attempting to use me physically. I cried y’all. Right in the middle of a strip club and this man kissed the tears off my face and repeated that he ‘loved me’.
