rising storm

It's taken me a few days to process. Finding what I want to say is hard, at once I feel like I can just join everyone else in their mourning but at the same time I also want to pay tribute and do something extra myself as well.

RWBY was a great experience for me. It inspired me so much- never before had I been driven to draw or create so much for one series, and never before had it come with such ease as well. I could spend hours and days on a project without noticing or caring for how long it took, and every single idea was a joy to have. I've moved on somewhat from the show do to irl issues, but it's a time that I treasure greatly, and my memories of both my time here on this account and watching the show are incredibly fond. I was awed by the work, attached to the point where I got frustrated when I felt that things could have been done differently and it would have worked out better, and in love with the series and characters most of all.

RWBY was also a big point in my life as an artist as well- it was the first time I'd gotten such recognition for my drawings, and designing genderbends for the series was actually what made me really realise that I love making designs and outfits; and what gave me the final push from the idea of 'I'll get a stable, boring job and draw as a hobby' to 'This is what I want to do with my life' and pursue art as a career. For someone who has procrastination issues over 9000 and whose mantra seems to constantly be 'I'll do it later', Monty's work ethic was at once inspiring and incredibly intimidating and spartan at once. Monty is someone who inspired me greatly and helped me make a big decision in my life, and I can only hope and work towards the goal of meeting his drive and love of his craft, and producing something one day that will be as greatly loved both during production and by it's audience as RWBY is and was.

This is sort of a PSA, anyone who wants to cosplay my designs is free to do so! It's really great (pls do) if you could credit me, and even radder if you could link me back to it so I could fawn over the pictures and your work; but I'm primarily here to share designs and I'm very very free and open to seeing people do their take on it. :) Asking permission is nice because it lets me know that people are interested in cosplaying it, but isn't required.

I've been really busy lately so I haven't been around much of anywhere, but I did see the the trailer a few days ago and got a bit excited! The colors have definitely gotten a bit nicer in my opinion, ahaha
