Let's get straight to the point - a few weeks ago, in the beginning of the year, I found out that I'm pregnant. And personally, for me, the obvious choice is to get an abortion as I'm 18 years old and I want to become a professional musician. My parents, however, are pro-life to the point where they didn't want me to get birth control and told me that in the case I do get pregnant, that they would make me have the child. In short, they will not support my abortion. I genuinely do not believe that I have the capability to become a parent even in the future when I have established a stable career and settled into a relatively nice lifestyle. 

So, without the emotional or financial support of my family, I've been trying to pay for my own abortion (~$400) from working at minimum wage  ($8.75) and still need a significant amount of money as I receive $150 a month from my parents and had to pay my accompanist $105 for audition recordings. In addition, my school requires a B average in all classes to continue receiving scholarship (in my case, $30,000 a year). With studying, practicing, recording, and working, I unfortunately haven't had the time or the energy to go on Tumblr.

I would hope that you don't think of me as an irresponsible teenager just fucking around in college - I was on birth control and only missed a few days (which has about a 6% failure rate). This has been causing me immense amounts of stress and has led to some problems with my boyfriend. I would ask that the very fact that I am now a pregnant teenager does not lead to you all unfollowing and leaving me, but that's all your own choices and I cannot do anything to stop you.
