over the years, public interest had largely died down, save for a low-budget podcast or two. with no new information for over a decade, the mystery of alison dilaurentis would remain as just that. that was until 2026 when her body (or rather, what was left of it) was discovered in her parents’ yard. police reopened the investigation and questions her parents. given their political ties, the dilaurentises were once again front page news. the public and the police alike suspect her parents, but they can’t yet prove it. the liars have been asked to remain in rosewood until the investigation and the eventual trial are completed.
