My brain: Athena repressing her negative emotions around Telemachus because last time she got really emotional around a student was the whole "My Goodbye" thing and she sees her anger as being the same as any other internal issues that she's dealing with post-God Games between Zeus PTSD, figuring out how to be around Odysseus, and not wanting to screw things up with Telemachus (or screw up Telemachus) like how she did, or at least thinks she did, with Odysseus, bottling up all of her emotions until she's just chilling with Tele when a thunderstorm comes in and whoops it's panic attack time and she's having a massive breakdown in front of Telemachus, the whole time thinking that her sudden outburst of vulnerability will get him to push her away only for him to meet her with nothing but kindness, compassion, and patience to a degree that is so unexpected she literally does not know how to handle it
