Sorry if youve been asked this before, but i was wondering what is renegades actually about? Like where does it take place and how do the characters know eachother and all that (btw ur drawings of them are peak๐ฅ)

So!!!!!! The renegades are a book series w 3 books, im currently in the beggining of the third so i wont be able to tell much abt this last one sjjdjs
The world it takes places is like ours but there is "prodigies" . Prodigies r people w super powers, mostly get them through a traumatic cool sigma backstory and some are just born with it (i thought everyone was born w it for way too long and then was so confused when they started telling how they got their powers ๐ฅ๐ฅ). The backstory of the world poorly explained is that the prodigies were opressed by normal humans cuz they were seens as dangerous and bla bla and then came Ace Sigma Anarchy (telekinesis powers, amplified w a helmet??) and he basically exploded everything and demanded rights and since everything was exploded they got the rights cuz there was no one to tell no anyway lol (technically ye there was, its much more complex than that but blehhhhh) and as he name suggests it was an anarchy and a bunch of crimes and gangs were happening ppl were dying and all that BUT prodigies werent hunted anymore! Most of them at least. Kinda. Anyways then came the og superheroes and it was Hugh(ivencible?? He has other stuff but i cant for the life of me remember or care abt it) Simon (invisibility) and some other guys who defeat Ace (technically it was a baby who defeated him. So sigma.) And then they formed the Council!!! Basically to replace the government cuz yk there was none. So they make the rules and all. Thats the horrible explanation of the world

Nova- main character. Nonchalant. Sometimes. Was born w the power to make ppl sleep then a gang guy killed her parents and her baby sister on front of her and she couldnt sleep ever again so now she has the power to not sleep!!! Wow so cool. Mhmm ah who saved her from the gang guy was her uncle who is Ace Anarchy!!! Basically the Council had promised Nova's family they would help them (cuz they alr had threats n stuff) BUT THEY DIDNT. And so Nova holds a lot of resentment and wants to destroy them so girlboss. Its more complex than that but yoill have the read the books i cant explain it all. So shes part of the Anarchists and her name there is Nightmare and then she goes as Insomnia (hides her putting to sleep power and pretends she only has the not sleeping one. As Nightmare shes always hidden w a mask so no one knows its her) and infiltrates on the Renegades. Ups forgot to say, the Renegades are basically the superheroes working for the Council. So she is accepeted there cuz she beats up a guy in the trials and then she has to find a way to take them down.
Adrian- renegade. second main character, has the power to create things from his drawings which is such an unfair power like this guy can do anything?? I am NOT jealous you sound crazy right now. Hes the adopted son of Hugh and Simon too, the two big ones on the Council so Nova gets close to him cuz she wants to destroy them n stuff. He lowkey gives me performative male vibes but like unintentionally. Like he uses tote bags (this one is canon), dresses like they do, drinks matcha but like does it genuinely he just fw that stuff if u know what i mean. Anyway, he is secretly the Sentinel uhh like a hero that doesnt follow the Council directly and is solo and sigma and makes poses in the middle of a fight (its canon btw) and now this part im still pissed abt he has a bunch of powers??? Cuz he tattooed them??? And made them real?? I DONT LIKE IT HES WAY TOO POWERFUL SAVE SOME FOR THE REST OF US WOULD U like he gives himself fire tattoo and now he has fire power and then springs on his feet so he can just really really high and then imunity for like everuthing ITS NOT FAIRRRR
So like the main characters have a secret alter ego, its lowkey giving miraculos ladybug i know i also thought of that.
Oscar-renegade. idk hes cool. Power to do smoke. Sounds and is kinda silly but works well for distractions and hiding. I dont have much to say abt him but hes cool
Ruby- renegade. her blood turns to crystals when shes cut n stuff. Imo its kinda of a stupid power but she makes it work so you go girl. Makes weapons w it mostly
Danna. renegade. can turn into a billion butterflies, might actually have the coolest power
Ingrid- anarchist. makes explosions, shes kinda crazy ngl. f.
Honey- anarchist. can control bees and wasps and all that, shes SO DIVA i love her
Leroy- anarchist. smt w chemicals?? lowkey gives father figure
Wintson- anarchist, had the power to control kids like puppeets. yes he is creepy but i still like him
phobia- anarchist. SHAKE YO DREADS!!!!! YOUYOYOY"!!!!! hes the coolest. basically a cloak and hood w a dark figure inside, has a sickle in every scene for some reason (how cool is that) and can know the fears of ppl and transform into them. like if someone is afraid of snakes he turns into a bunch of snakes
theres a bunch more and id love to yap more abt them but this is way too logn alreadysdjfjks
So the premise is basically Nora is disguising herself as not-nightmare and gets into the renegades to be able to find a way to destroy the council and give the helmet (remeber abt that?) back to Ace (surprise! Hes alive!) And has to rizz Andrian. And kinda wants to too.
Theres obv much more characters and lore and i could yap much more but i doubt anyone will read one this long so!!!
