♡ ... hello everyone !! and thank you so much for all the welcomes! i’m fifi and i bring to you my beloved muse, choi sumin ! i was in lgc a few months ago with two other muses, but sumin here is completely brand new and i’m super excited to bring her here and to get things started for her!! sumin has only been in lgc since jan ‘22 so everything is still quite new to her and she’s a lot like an excited puppy of sorts !! she also rly rly loves idols ( esp lgc idols!! ) i’d love to plot with everyone so please like this post and i’ll jump straight into your ims or you could always follow me on twitter ( @mysticgfs ) – i’m usually active on both!! i also have a brief profile up of sumin here for anyone interested ♡
underneath the cut you can find some info about sumin as well as some basic plot ideas!!
sumin’s parents aren’t particularly well to do. her mum is a home maker and her dad is a bus driver. she also has a younger brother who’s currently attending elementary school. she’s very close with her family, particularly her younger brother, and they’re all a very loving and supportive family
her mum was an ex-singer from the early 90s who released one album and never got popular. but it’s sumin’s favourite album and she listens to it when she gets homesick
she’s always liked singing as a kid and would participate in school festivals just to get the opportunity to sing!!
sumin is very very loving, almost to a fault. but she really adores the people around her and she’s the type who’ll pour her heart out
with that being said, she’s terrible at hiding how she truly feels, and always wears her heart on her sleeve. mostly because she was raised that way. she’s also doesn’t shy away from expressing how she feels and is the type to actually burst into tears if you play a sad movie
she really loves idols !! was a fan of idol groups and decided to audition for lgc because she liked idols and so much!
has a hard time saying no to pretty much anything, so she can be a bit of a push over – it’s honestly because she’s a people pleaser
likes to bake, so she’ll probably bake for her friends. she’s also currently attending university, since her parents still wish for her to get her higher education
some plot ideas!
sumin isn’t particularly good at dancing, so maybe someone who can help her out with it? she’d be really thankful!!
since sumin has only just recently joined lgc, maybe a more senior trainee could’ve taken her under their wing. sumin would probably follow you around, and try to learn the ropes from you!
friends !!! sumin needs lots of friends! she will shower you with love and baked goods and will try her best to cheer you up
( idols / senior trainees ) an idol or a senior trainee that inspired sumin to audition for lgc? since sumin was such a huge fan of idols before she joined, maybe she was your fan and you’re one of the reasons she decided to join lgc!
friends from high school – maybe your muse attended the same high school as sumin and were friends from back then!
friends from uni – a muse that’s a trainee at lgc and also attending the same uni as sumin! you could be someone she confides to and likes to hang out with
sumin is honestly pretty easy to manipulate... so if your muse needs someone to manipulate, she is ur girl...
alternatively: someone who thinks that sumin is too easy to manipulate so they’re like wtf is wrong with this girl!! she can’t survive like this out here!! and decide to protect her from time to time
( male only ) exes? someone sumin briefly dated, but things went sour. probably because sumin got worried that she couldn’t concentrate on training... or something else! we can plot more in detail about this!
sumin is currently trying to get better at playing the piano so maybe your muse could help her out with that!

”a gift?” jungmo’s eyebrows furrowed in confusion. “work…” now that he thinks about it, there really would have been no real feasible reason for jungmo to have asked for sumin unless it was for some help. he supposes he can’t fault her for thinking it’s one or the other. as much as he wants to hide behind a lie, he feels like he could never have another chance like this with sumin. “i mean my brother’s birthday is coming up but that’s not why?”
jungmo sighs, clearing his throat and directs his gaze to meet sumin’s. “you can say no if you want and i’ll back off completely and we can just pretend this never happened.” he continues to steel his gaze. “i want you, choi sumin, to hang out with me like… like old times. like we used to. that’s my one favor that i’m asking of you.”
this is. not what sumin had expected. if anything, this isn’t how she’d thought jungmo would react –– ever. it’s a little out of character, or at least, she thinks it is; because the jungmo that’s etched in her memory is the jungmo that had ripped her heart out, destroyed their friendship and made sumin feel like a walking zombie for days.
so all she can do is look at him, in shock. and she thinks it shows, because sumin’s never been very good at hiding how she felt ( which was probably how she got so easily hurt by jungmo in the first place ). he gives her the option to say no, and honestly, wasn’t that what sumin wanted in the first place? to say no to jungmo, ditch him, and go about her day like nothing had happened.
and yet, she can’t do that. because this is jungmo, and he could break her heart a million times and she would still say yes. “it’s uhm,” she finally says, shaking her head. “it’s – i mean, i guess i didn’t expect that,” she answers honestly. probably the most honest she’s been with jungmo in months. she pauses for a moment, and thinks about all the reasons she should say no. and then ignores them.
“sure, that’s fine.”
see, the thing about sumin was that while she was great at taking care of the people around her, she was terrible at looking out for herself. if choi sumin had a catalyst, his name would be jungmo. “but you know, i don’t ... i don’t think this ––” will fix anything, she wants to say, but instead she shakes her head and smiles, “nevermind.”
she takes in a deep breath, and turns to jungmo. if he wants a day ( like old times ), he’s going to get it. and maybe after this, he’ll finally leave her along – just like she’d always wanted – or so she thinks she wants. “like old days, right? so what should we do? should i beat you at dance dance revolution again and show you who’s truly the master?” she smiles, using up every ounce of courage she can find in her to pretend like nothing’s wrong. and it’s actually pretty easy, to be with jungmo; to be his friend, to pretend like they’d never fallen out, and that she hadn’t cried over him for months. it’s so easy, that it’s almost scary – because sumin realizes just how much she’d missed this.
it’s half a joke, an old habit that longtime friends can fall back into even after years. it hasn’t been years, but sumin is an old friend and sharing their lunches is an old habit that doesn’t die easily. how many times had she joined hanbin in school, plopping her tray down next to his and refusing to let him be alone? her chatter had drowned out the murmurs and whispers of less kind peers. and when she joined legacy, it was the least that hanbin could do to keep up their old traditions. she makes him feel less alone. he hopes he does the same for her.
but as mushy and soft as his feelings for sumin can be, there’s a hint of sibling-like competition between them. it’s why he doesn’t wait for her answer, taking a spoonful of rice from her lunch before she can stop him or protest. a wide grin decorates his face around the handle of the spoon. he knows that if she’s really upset or hungry, he’ll just give her whatever he took of her’s from his own tray.
“you seem thoughtful today,” he observes around the mouthful, chewing and swallowing carefully so instant karma doesn’t make him choke on the bit he just stole from his friend. “is something on your mind? you don’t have to tell me, obviously, but you know i’m always here to listen, right?”
he might be making it up, but he suspects that sumin’s a little quieter than usual, a little more lost in her own head. hanbin knows that there’s not much going on up there (joking, affectionately), so it worries him a bit. maybe she’s just tired. he doesn’t know.
it’d be a lie to say that sumin has completely settled in at legacy. as easy as she finds it to talk to new people, and make new friends, sumin discovered that the older she got, the more reservations she had about meeting new people –– the more self-aware she became with how she presented herself. so it’s always nice to have familiar faces around; especially when it’s a beloved childhood friend.
“ah, hanbin!” she says, but obviously not quick enough, because by the time she’s realized what the boy is doing, he’s got half her lunch in his mouth. she pouts, but doesn’t do much else. instead, she pushes the lunch to her friend, allowing him to finish it. sumin was pretty full already, and she didn’t mind hanbin stealing her food ( that was why she’d always packed a little extra, from the time they were kids ).
she smiles at her friend and places her chin against her palm. “i do? am i giving off a mysterious femme fatale vibe?” she asks, as she pretends to pose in front of him. it only lasts for a second though before sumin grosses herself out – she knows very well that she’s the last thing from a femme fatale.
plus, of course hanbin could easily read through her, no matter how hard sumin pretended to be okay. “i’m fine,” she finally says, “i just... there’s a lot going on,” she confesses. “i auditioned for future dreams and didn’t make it through...” sumin isn’t lying, it’s true that she’d auditioned, and it’s true that she didn’t make it through. and while that had upset her, it wasn’t the whole reason she was upset. “and well...” there’s a boy... but she doesn’t continue, she’d rather not. instead she sighs, and takes a gulp of her orange juice. “that’s it. i was just a little upset. and now you’re stealing my lunch,” she jokes, but there’s no hard feelings. if sumin’s being honest, she actually enjoys watching hanbin eat ( as funny as that is ); call it sisterly affection, but there was something she found just slightly adorable about the way hanbin’s cheeks moved as he chewed on his food.
if someone was aware of jungmo’s situation with sumin, they would most likely side with her rather than him. they might claim that he’s oh so terrible and evil for trying to cash out the favor that sumin very clearly owes him. despite the awful thing she had to endure but the thing is - jungmo cares little for the cause and instead upholds his own principles. it’s just fair. sure, you don’t have to hold obligation to return favors but it’s simply the right thing to do. if you owe someone, then pay them back and the same could be said vice versa.
but jungmo’s a nice guy. really, he is. it wasn’t as if he was going to force sumin to become his lackey and expect her to bend to his every whim. jungmo laughed to himself. yeah, no way that would happen. in fact, he’d even go as far as to saying his favor was a pretty simple and easy one to pay back. one that even sumin wouldn’t refuse.
then again, he’s also not sure if she’ll go along with it like before. they aren’t the same people they were back then. they’ve certainly changed even if some aspects stayed the same. he just wants a few hours of them hanging out together like normal. nothing more and nothing less. and yet somehow, jungmo can’t help the way he dresses up a bit more to look presentable in sumin’s eyes. not that he cares what sumin thinks of him. jungmo doesn’t care what anybody thinks about him.
jungmo spots her rather easily. he could probably find her easily in the middle of a crowd if he wanted to actually. it’s strange how his gaze seems to always find her. he quickly fixes his hair even if he tried styling his hair a million other ways before deciding. just don’t be weird, jungmo mutters to himself. clearing his throat, he walks up to sumin with a small smile on his face. “hey… you’re here. how long were you waiting for me?”
it’s so awkward, so frustratingly awkward. it hadn’t been this way years ago –– back then, sumin would’ve waited for jungmo with no second thoughts. if anything, she’d readily wait for jungmo like the fool she was just to see him. but this was different, now sumin dreaded the idea of having to spend time alone with jungmo.
“ah,” unknowingly, the sound leaves her lips when she hears his voice. she looks up at him, and she wonders if it’s obvious just how uncomfortable she feels around him. it’s not like they’d parted on ... amicable ways. but she forces herself to smile, she’ll get through this day, she’ll get through this ‘favour’ she owes him, and that she’ll do everything in her power to never see him again. it was as simple as that!
“not too long, i just finished too,” she replies, and while she tries her best to seem as cool and collected as she can, voice steady, her grip on the strap of her bag tightens. just get over it, sumin! she tells herself. she takes in a deep breath and turns to him, reminding herself to get rid of any emotion she felt for the boy in front of her – be it that of affection, or hurt. she’d try her best to treat jungmo just like any other human today. she had to, for her own sake.
“so, what did you need me for?” she finally asks, “you know... when i said i owed you one, i didn’t think you’d actually take me up on the offer,” she continues, but there’s a small smile playing on her lips. “did you need help picking out a gift...?” ... for some new person you’re dating, she almost says, but she stops herself. “or uh, help with ... work?” she asks, probably the most she’s spoken to jungmo in years.

the trainee life had become somewhat of an every day thing for jaekyung. she just enjoyed learning for now, not entirely confident in auditioning for any of those opportunities to stand in the spotlight just yet. still feeling like she was too lacking in certain aspects, she’d rather work in the shadows before eventually entering the spot light once she truly believed she could floor an audience.
which isn’t too say it’s a bit tiring with uni on the side too- her performing major amazingly interesting but draining to have nonetheless. if not for people like sumin, she may have long given up on education and instead dedicated herself completely to training- a thought she had probably because she’d been certain to have been much further in her practice than she was now without any side schedules.
however when the female in question bounced up to her, the tired student didn’t quite comprehend the meaning of her words for a second before she allowed herself to process with one- two blinks of her lids only for her eyes to widen in astonishment. “you did NOT!” gentle slapping the other girl’s arm her lips widened into an excited grin. “YOU GOT IN?!”
sumin was never good at hiding secret, especially so with jaekyung involved. so of course she could have hardly hid the fact that she got into lgc from the other girl. her smile only grows wider, despite the gentle slap she receives. if anything, it makes her laugh even louder – finding the whole ordeal quite hilarious.
“hmm, i wonder if i did~?” she teases in a sing song manner, but with the way she’s smiling and going about her day, it’s pretty obvious that she has. after a short moment of laughter, she nods her head. “i did! they just got back to me and i made it!” she beams, this time she’s unable to control the volume in her voice as she speaks.
“we’re going to be training together jaekyung!! isn’t that great!” she stops for a moment and reaches out to squeeze jaekyung in excitement. sumin has always been an affectionate girl, even more so with her friends. “isn’t this great? i can’t wait to go to training with you! and to hang out with you even more! you can’t get rid of me that easily!” she scrunches up her nose and gently nudges jaekyung’s shoulder.
“but you’ll have to show me the ropes! and tell me all about the good looking trainees there! i want to cleanse my eyes... all the boys i’ve known so far have rotted my eyesight,” she sighs, but the thought of a building filled with good looking men has her smiling from ear to ear.
“oh no, your phone!” somin cries out, surprised and she crouches down to pick it up, the screen lighting up when she turns it towards her to check for cracks. there’s none down the screen, at least none that she can see, but what she does see is her own face staring back at her. huh?
“um,” she turns back to the girl, surprised and really not sure of how to react but she also wants to give the phone back to its owner. “uh … i hope your phone’s okay?”
oh god. oh dear god. was this real? was this really happening? sumin can only look up at the girl in front of her in shock, unable to speak. because it’s somin. somin!!!!!!!! and it’s not like sumin had never expected to meet any celebrities in the building, in fact, she’d spent hours in front of the mirror in her room readying herself for whenever she’d meet one, practicing her expressions and what she’d say so as not to look like a complete fool.
but she’d never expected to bump into one like this! especially somin of all people! somin who she admired, who was practically her lock screen, who had been one of the many reasons she’d even auditioned for lgc in the first place.
her cheeks begin to heat up, and even more so when she realizes that her phone screen is set on the highest brightness ( damn her inability to see things on low brightness settings!! ) and that her lock screen was now visible for all to see. which meant that somin could clearly see that sumin had set her as phone wallpaper.
“i - uhm,” she begins, flustered. “it’s – it’ll be fine! thank you so much!” she bows, cheeks red in embarrassment. this wasn’t how things were supposed to go! she was supposed to meet somin on stage one day, and the both of them were supposed to end up becoming unlikely best friends and live happily ever after (sumin had a tendency to be delusional) !!
“i’m a huge fan!” she ends up saying, unable to stand the way her heart was thumping loudly against her chest. “i - i mean, i really admire you!”
when someone says ‘i owe you one’, you never really take it seriously. you never really think that they owe you one. so when you say that ‘i owe you one’ to someone else, you never really think you actually owe that person something, right? especially when your relationship with the said person was that of practical strangers. so when jungmo had told sumin to wait for her after training, she was caught off guard.
but it wasn’t like sumin was in any position to reject him – after all she was the one who said she owed him one in the first place. she sighs, scratching her own head in regret. maybe she shouldn’t have said anything in the first place. this way, it was as though she could never really escape jungmo, no matter how hard she’d tried for years. it feels like someone is playing a cruel joke on her and she’s not sure how to make them stop.
she slumps against the wall of the building, and sighs. what did jungmo even want from her? what did sumin have that jungmo would want exactly? the both of them hadn’t been on speaking terms up until she found herself in a situation she couldn’t exactly get out of without any help.
still, she takes out her compact mirror and quickly fixes up her bangs. at the very least, she wanted to look presentable ( not like she cared about what jungmo thought or anything!! ). placing the compact mirror in her bag once more, she waits for the boy, completely unaware of what exactly he wanted with her.
hi everyone !! sorry for the inactivity over the last two weeks ! the new year period has been crazy but i’m hoping to get to replies and im messages now 💖
this could go any number of ways and the one way he hoped wouldn’t is probably about to happen now that she called his name. there really isn’t anybody else around so it’s obvious. not to mention, she was waving and looking directly at him. that would immediately make the guy bothering her look at him and if he just ignores her, the douchebag won’t stop bothering her. and while jungmo is a dick, he’s not an asshole. he flirts with people, sure, but only when they reciprocate the energy and accept it. if a person isn’t into it, then take the hint.
“fuck it, i’ll deal with shit later.” jungmo mutters under his breath, throwing all of his caution out of the window and stalked over to where the two were standing. he tightened the grip around the strap of his backpack as he gave the guy a once over, an angry look of disgust on his face. he turned to sumin and his expression changed completely - features softening immediately, eyebrows unfurrowing, a concerned gaze on his face. he cleared his throat and instantly hardened his expression when he looked back at the douchebag. “you know it’s not very gentlemanly of you to grab a lady like that. did your mother not teach you anything about manners or did having shit for brains do a number on you?”
if possible sumin hadn’t wanted it to come down to this. but this guy was relentless and while asking jungmo for help would’ve been her worst nightmare on any other day, she thinks she doesn’t have much of a choice this time. she’d used the trainee excuse, and yet that still didn’t work. to be fair though, she really did need to get to training and this guy was only holding her back. her eyes follow jungmo has he approaches them, and while a part of her dreaded the fact that he was taking any step closer to her ( after years of her trying to avoid him!! ), she’s still thankful that he’s here. momentarily she wonders why he’d even answered to her call, but she quickly pushes away that thought – she’s got no time for it.
sumin had in all honesty, just wanted jungmo to say ‘hey’, pull her away, and they could merrily head off to training ( hopefully without uttering a word to each other ), but as jungmo spoke to the boy that hadn’t given sumin any space, she realizes just how wrong she had been, completely forgetting jungmo’s... personality. this probably wasn’t going to end as easily as she’d hope it would.
instead, she pulls her hand away from the classmate and grabs onto jungmo’s wrist. “jungmo!” she says, in an attempt to redirect him. “it’s fine! seriously! i’m fine. i’m sure he didn’t mean it,” she says, sumin’s soft hearted nature peeking through. at the back of her mind though, she’s afraid that jungmo’s rough way of speaking may one day have him ending up in a scandal of sorts. even after all these years, it’s still hard not to worry. “we have to go, right?” she tilts her head upwards to look at the boy, furrowing her brows mostly in worry that this might escalate into something else and that jungmo might get hurt.
“we’ll be late, let’s get going,” she pulls jungmo closer to her as she begins to walk off, glad that she was finally free from the boy. but her grip on jungmo is still a little tight, mostly due to her having been slightly overwhelmed by the situation, and the boy not leaving her alone.
she lets out a sigh of relief, visibly more at ease now that he was gone. it’s only then when she realizes she’s still holding onto jungmo and finally let’s go. “o-oh, sorry!” she says, flustered. “thank you for just now,” she continues, “he was pretty pushy so i didn’t know what else to do. you helped a lot. next time, i’ll figure it out on my own,” she says politely, an attempt at keeping the distance between them.

Unsure as what to do, Yuxi stared at the other girl as she took off her Airpods. “What did you say? Help? Help for…. ?” She was starting to grow a little desperate, “Look, I’m sure there are better qualified people than me around if you need any help, I’m not sure I can be of much use to you.”
sumin’s not too sure what exactly had overcome her –– what sort of strength from whatever higher being had given her the confidence to talk to yuxi. it wasn’t that sumin disliked yuxi, no! not at all! if anything, she’d always found it hard to approach the older girl, mostly because she seemed very ... cool. and sumin was well aware that she was not. instead, she would find herself looking at yuxi in quiet awe, and avoiding eye contact from being intimidated.
still, sumin’s a little tired of hearing the trainer scold her. she’s well aware of the fact that she isn’t a very good dancer, but even so, the criticisms, while constructive, did have her feeling like whatever little confidence she had was going down the drain.
she knows that her face is probably red, and her heart is probably going to jump out of her chest at this rate, but sumin doesn’t want to give up! she bites hard at her lower lip as yuxi answers her, and immediately her eyes widen. “but you’re really good!” she finds herself saying, “when you perform it’s r-really cool! and i’ve always wanted to look even half as cool when i perform!” she continues, somehow unable to form a proper cohesive sentence. but it’s true! and sumin was never one to beat around the bush – her greatest weakness was always how easy she was to read.
“i think i could learn a lot from you!” and sumin is genuine as she speaks. in fact, she thinks this is probably the most she’s ever spoken to yuxi. “i mean, if you don’t mind helping me a little..! please!”
it’s not an understatement to say that sumin is literally the y/n dream. she’s never been one to hide the fact that she’d been a huge legacy fan even before she entered the company –– and that many of her seniors had inspired her to audition in the first place. and some of them even knew of her existence!! take that wattpad!!
still, it’s no surprise that a majority of them have been a little harder to spot in the company, after having debuted or being filled to the brim with schedules. not that sumin is complaining! she would never! the fact that she even got to breathe in the same building as them was more than enough!
and her parents knew very well just how much she enjoyed being in the company, though that doesn’t stop her mum from texting her almost daily to check on how she’s doing. sumin’s replying her mother, humming a song under her breath as she does so, when she accidentally bumps into someone and her phone is accidentally thrown onto the floor.
“oh no!” she cries aloud, but she makes sure to check on the other person before her phone ( human lives before her phone!! ). “are you alrig –” but she stops speaking almost immediately when she sees the girl in front of her. the girl she’d accidentally bumped into. the girl. the it girl. the girl of her dreams.
“c...cr..crys–” oh god she feels like she’s going to faint. like she might pass out. it’s moon somin. the girl she uses as her phone’s lockscreen.
... ✩‧₊ : future dreams season 006 audition
vocal audition ┊iu - 있잖아! ( rock ver )
future dreams. sumin’s always been an avid fan of idols, and by extension, an avid fan of survival shows. so of course, she’d watched the previous seasons of future dreams before ( even had her own fan favourite! ), and it wouldn’t be far fetched to say that some of the contestants that she’d seen had inspired her to audition for legacy in the first place. so to her, the idea of even being on future dreams felt a lot like a dream.
if sumin’s feeling honest, she’s not too sure if she’d even be able to participate in it, after all she was a fairly new trainee and she knew that she lacked in many aspects. she’d hesitated at first, unsure of whether she was even worthy of auditioning for something like this. but she knew at the back of her mind that if she didn’t at the very least try, she’d regret it.
she’s nervous as she enters the room, and the sight of the cameras greet her. it’s something that sumin isn’t quite used to – she’d always been the one looking in.
“hello! i’m choi sumin, and i joined legacy entertainment this year,” she bows, introducing herself with a smile.
she settles in and gets ready to audition. they’d told her beforehand to pick a song, and sumin had gone through practically millions of songs before finally landing on one. it’s a song that sumin thinks shows her personality quite well, despite these few minutes that she has.
the sound of the guitar plays and sumin takes in a deep breath before she begins to sing. “you know! for some reason my heart is beating so fast, i don’t know why,” she sings, smile on her face as she shakes her shoulders slightly. “baby one two three, come closer to me! l-u-v though i may be shy...” she continues, as she uses her fingers to sign 1, 2, 3 and the letters l-u-v.
she continues singing the song as she’s practiced, careful of her expressions as well – she doesn’t want it to show when the notes are a little too high for her, and wants to convey the upbeat light-heartedness of the song after all.
when she’s done, she’d thought she’d be able to leave immediately, but instead she’s met with a question that startles her.
“which of the following roles do you think would suit you best sumin? center, dancer, leader, or vocal?”
sumin blinks and takes a moment to think about it. she’s definitely not a dancer, that much is for sure. a leader? she doesn’t think she’s got the charisma to lead a group, and she’s been told that she’s pretty gullible ( and she has no reason not to believe that ), which is something that a leader shouldn’t be ...
would sumin suit being a center? there were girls much better than her, girls that simply stole your attention with just one look and sumin doubted that she was one of them.
which made the answer pretty obvious.
“vocal!” she smiles. “i think i can pull off singing any song, regardless of the genre. isn’t that important in a vocalist?” she replies, this time a little more confident in her answer.
as the audition comes to an end, sumin bows towards the panel and camera, and makes her way out. she’s not too sure if she’ll make it in to season 6, but at the very least, she knows she won’t have any regrets.
it’s not like sumin thinks that she’s an amazing singer by any means, but she’s well aware of the fact that she’s a much better singer than she is a dancer –– because truth be told, she’d probably been born with the inability to dance and at this point in her life, she was just trying her best to work with what she’s been given. at the very least, she’s got aera by her side, the two of them practicing together and aera helping her out.
she’s of course, thankful to aera and glad to have aera giving her tips ( because god knows just how much sumin needs them ), and practicing with aera is a lot less lonelier than practicing alone. as they finish up the last part of the choreography, sumin finds herself practically falling onto the floor as she ungraciously lies down, body covered with sweat.
“aera,” she says, chest heaving heavily from all the dancing they’d been doing. “i don’t think i can feel my legs anymore and –” as though timed, her stomach begins to rumble. “i need some juice,” she pats her stomach, looking up at the older girl as if to say, let’s go grab something to eat please.

it had been completely unexpected. if sumin’s being honest, she hadn’t been the most confident about her audition, and if anything she was expecting a big fat ‘fail’. sumin was either a) ready to accept that she would simply be destined for that 9-5 life after graduation or b) try her luck with other companies, when she’d received the news.
of course, the first people she’d told were her parents, who were more than ecstatic for her. and while she’d wanted to call up jaekyung right there and then since the girl had played a big part in giving her the courage to audition, she’d decided that it would be even better to see jaekyung’s reaction in real life. which was exactly why she’d waited until she saw her friend on campus the next day.
“jaekyung!” she cries out, practically skipping to the girl with a bright smile on her face. alright, sumin was most definitely not good at keeping up a poker face. but who could blame her? she now had the opportunity to train with jaekyung! at the same company! unabashedly, she wraps an arm around jaekyung’s and begins to hum.
“what are you doing after this? are you going for training?” she smiles, turning to look at the girl. at this point, sumin is unable to contain her excitement. “should i meet you at the front gate so we can go together?” she hints subtly, wondering if jaekyung could pick up on the hint.
