“mhmm, it’s aeri and yes, i am one of lgc agency’s actresses.” she reassured him as she nodded her head. aside from group activities, it was rare for aeri to interact with idols, especially male idols. but today so happened to be one of those instances when she would be interacting with one, so aeri hoped that everything would go well (and his fans wouldn’t mind having her as his partner for the cf). “since you just got there, do you want to join me and check out the products? i heard we still have a little time before filming.” she suggested, hoping it would give them a chance to see the products firsthand and also to get to know hyoseop better. if there was anything she learned since debuting as an actress, it was always introducing herself and getting to know her fellow costars. so far it hadn’t failed her since there were some instances when she would meet them in other gigs or outside of work.  she reasoned, “i wanted to see them in person to visualize the cf. just knowing the general info can only take you so far.”

hyoseop had once considered doing acting, but after failing greatly at it, he decided to give up. he’d also considered modeling, but he knew he would hate that, luckily in the end he managed to become an idol, and he wasn’t stuck doing something he didn’t know how to do or something he hated doing. “it’s not often i get to interact with the actors in legacy” really it was not often he got to see anyone but the type zero members, but the trainees, actors and models in legacy, he saw particularly little. 

“i’ve been casually following some of the models and their brands ever since i was one of the models for jinseo’s brand. i don’t know the exact process that they go through, but i feel like their model brands showcase a side to them that you don’t normally get to see from their projects and gigs.” she nodded as she began leading the way towards where the products were. 

“it’s a bit uneventful, but i didn’t do anything special when i found out about it. i think it was more of after the drama ended that i did some things to celebrate the occasion. for instance, i created my own memory box where i put in some of the items that reminded me of the drama. i think i even put some of my scripts there because i’d always prefer the physical version of it over the digital.” aeri explained, wondering for a brief moment where she had placed the box. “i kept it to remind myself of everything that happened during that period of my life.” she added belatedly with a warm smile. “the nice thing about having extensions is that if your hair is short and you need it to be longer for just a day or two, there’s always that option.” she reasoned. thanks to the conversation they were having, the thought of having shorter hair (even if it was just a wig) seemed tempting for aeri and one that she would consider doing as long as she didn’t have an acting project any time soon. “about two months ago? so it’s really not that long.” aeri confessed. she’s seen some of the videos other actors and models have released and was impressed by how many episodes some of them have released. “during my early acting days, i like the privacy i had with people knowing me strictly for my work or music. but after a while, i did see some people wondering how i was behind-the-scenes. i know some people could get that from behind-the-scenes content that legacy releases, but it feels nice to be able to share other hobbies i do in my spare time and see people comment and share tips about those hobbies.”

“eh! that’s cute though, i do like that idea” she nods with a smile sitting on her lips. cherry doesn’t ever want to forget about her actress journey, and having something to remind her of her achievements could be a good idea, cherry just isn’t exactly sure how she’d do it. “i hope there doesn’t go to soon before it’s my turn… i know i’m still not the best actress and i have far to go, but i’ll work hard to become better”. it almost felt weird to be so passionate about something, cherry was used to sucking so bad at everything she would barely even try.

“oh? that’s not that long…” she says, a bit of surprise in her eyes. “before i had my youtube channel though, i had my youtube show and podcast, so my fans didn’t exactly see a new side of me when i got my youtube channel” she shrugs “i guess the new side of me is actress cherry, i think… i think my fans are used to me being goofy and unserious, but i hope they’ll be able to see me as more than just that” she bites her lip. “my youtube channel is still a way bigger success for me than my acting career, and i don’t mind being known as a youtuber, i just hope… people will give my acting a chance too” she shrugs.

“i wished i did get a chance to host a show before my personal channel.” she expressed one of her regrets during her time as a trainee. there were so many people hosting their own shows and guesting on them that in hindsight, aeri wished she ignored her hesitations and did more of it. “at least with a show it encourages you to interact with other guests and it’s a good segue to having a personal channel. there are still some parts of having a personal channel that i’m getting used to.” the actress hoped that with more feedback from the viewers that she could figure out her niche and be known for it. 

yerin felt a bit of tension as she noticed the woman’s gaze on her. she studied the stranger carefully, noting the tilt of her head and the way she approached. in her eyes, it seemed calculated, but yerin was beginning to think she was assuming too much in such a short period. “i– i think we might have met before,” yerin said cautiously, choosing her words. there was some uncertainty in her voice as her mind ran through an internal debate. should she reveal more about her connection with her missing partner or keep it vague? the longer she contemplated her choices, the more aware she became of the crowd around her. part of her wanted to disappear into the crowd while another part yearned for a reason to stay. “my name is yerin,” she added, finally deciding to let it slip out, even if she was carefully watching the other woman’s reaction. “as for the man, just mr. kim, i believe.” there was a hint of vagueness in her tone, though it was hard to tell whether it came from memory or caution. “maybe we could have met before? but i’m not really sure where, though.” a nervous laugh escaped her lips. “have you seen me somewhere before?” she asked, silently hoping that she could go along with whatever the woman said next.

there’s such unfamiliarity in this woman’s face, yet it seems so familiar at the same time. jahye finds herself staring, and she finds herself unable to look away, curiosity fully haven taken over her body. is it rude to stare? yes. and had the other person been the one to stare, jahye would’ve long ago come with a snappy comment. “ah… yerin you say?” jahye finally briefly looks away, running over where the familiar name comes from.

“ah… mr. kim… i guess that’s where i know you from” well… awkward, the woman of the very man she was trying to pursue, right in front of her. she’d walked around this party to find that particularly man, only to be met with her competition, the one person that stood between her and mr. kim. “i think we’ve met, or at least briefly seen each other before” she nods her head, looking a bit away “i’m familiar with mr. kim, so i guess that might be where we know each other from” she shrugs.

“ah, no.” she shook her head in reply. “i was wondering if he might have passed through here earlier.” there was a bit of hesitation as she debated whether to share the next part to the other woman. “we were actually supposed to come to the party together,” she said at last. “but something came up for him at the last minute, so he told me to go ahead and said we would meet here later.”

modeling was something that aeri enjoyed on the side since unlike other gigs where there was an emphasis on personality or eloquence, she could focus more on looking attractive for the camera. after finding out that she would be one of the models for aurora’s latest collection, aeri was ecstatic and hoped that the final outcome would turn out great. while the staff were busy preparing for the scene, aeri’s attention gravitated towards the products and seeing how they would look on her. as she looked through each product with awe, she spotted her partner nearby. walking towards him, she bowed her head and greeted him. “hi, it’s a pleasure to meet my partner for the day.” there was a hint of lightheartedness in her words as she offered a handshake. “did you get a chance to look at the products?” she asked, wondering if hyoseop arrived on set recently or if he was here way before she had arrived.

while hyoseop greatly cared about his looks, and was very well aware that he was handsome, he wasn’t a fan of modeling, the camera just couldn’t capture his beauty right. hyoseop had always been firm in what he believed in, that he was prettier in real life, hence he barely ever took selfies (to his fans disappointment), because the stupid camera couldn’t capture everything the eye could. legacy kept giving him modeling gigs anyway though, and hyoseop had no choice but to accept them.

aeri was quickly learning that the current project would constantly test her improvisation and teamwork skills. with only a rough storyline and the rest left to the cast, she hoped that her previous experience working with the actresses would help. getting into character was easy for aeri, and in her elegant crimson dress, she quickly became kwon yerin — the plus one to a missing partner. yerin stood at the corner of the venue, scanning the crowd for her partner. her anxious expression was clear as she paced back and forth, doubting whether she had remembered the meeting spot correctly. “oh dear…” she muttered softly, then quickened her pace when she thought she heard his voice calling her name. but as she moved forward, she only spotted another woman, who appeared to be a guest at the party. “sorry to bother you, but did you happen to see a man pass by earlier? about this tall—” yerin gestured with her hands to show his height. “and he has short brown hair?” she described him further, carefully avoiding mentioning his name. yerin knew that there were a few attendees he wasn’t on good terms with, and she wanted to steer clear of them.

though cherry was excited for this, she couldn’t help, but be a bit nervous. so far, the roles she had played had been rather similar to herself, this role, “han jahye” was very different from real life cherry. but playing the role so far had been fun, and cherry was learning she was able to do more than just what was in her comfort zone. she likes how she looks, and it’s honestly a bit fun being someone who cares so much about their looks, it’s different from real life cherry. currently she stands with a hand mirror, fixing some of her hair while standing alone.

“of course! i don’t mind!” aeri’s eyes lit up, excited for cherry and the day she would get a bigger role. she was always elated whenever the other legacy actors had bigger roles since it meant that their hard work and acting abilities were seen by the public. even if it had been years since she had her main role in a drama, it gave her the opportunity to find her niche in other areas aside from acting. “but when you do get a bigger role, we celebrate first before sharing any advice.” she insisted as a reminder to always celebrate the wins first. the moment cherry mentions cutting her own hair, aeri remembered seeing a snippet of it on youtube. as someone who never had short hair, she was relieved that she hadn’t been asked to do the same. but the thought of having short hair made her curious about something. “do you prefer having longer or shorter hair? i feel like with shorter hair it would require more maintenance, but i guess if it’s for an acting role or some sort the hairstylists can do the styling instead.” she reasoned as she touched the tips of her hair for a brief moment. shaking her head, aeri admitted, “i don’t have a lot of episodes yet so i don’t have a lot to pick…but if i had to pick one, maybe the first episode?” she vividly remembered filming the episode and the challenges that she had to deal with filming content about herself. “fans always asked me to have a channel especially when there are so many legacy actors and models who have one. but i wasn’t sure if i had that entertaining persona that people tend to gravitate towards, so whenever i had free time, i’d look at other channels for ideas.”

“ah, i guess it’d be a nice idea to celebrate me getting a main role, once it happens” cherry nods, though she thinks that’s something that’s far out in the future. while cherry has gotten far in terms of acting skills, she still has quite far to go, she still struggles with remembering her lines, and is still scared of picking up characters that are out of her comfort zone. but it’s nice to have something to look forward to, something to work for, she’ll get that main role someday, she’s sure. “how did you celebrate when you got your first bigger role?” she asks the other.

“i think i prefer having longer hair? i cut my hair short a few years ago, and i did like it, i just… feel like there’s more to do with longer hair? like when it comes to braiding and stuff. but when i had short hair, i’d sometimes have extensions in, so it never really felt like my long hair vanished” she shrugs. cherry was growing her hair out again, her hair had had a change though, she was brown-headed for now, due to martine corporations, though she was planning on going back to blonde soon.
