cling onto me.

hold my hand whenever you get the chance. lean against me. steal my t-shirts. bite my arm because that's how you show me you love me. wrap yourself around me whenever you feel like it.

tell me you love me over and over again, even if you already said it five minutes ago.

throw your little tantrums when you need to. come and sulk on my shoulder. let me kiss your forehead while you pretend you're still upset.

i'll never make you feel like you're too much for loving me.

i'll match every bit of that affection. i'll call you just because i miss your voice. i'll send you random messages because you crossed my mind for the hundredth time that day. i'll hold onto you just as tightly. i'll remind you every single day how loved you are.

i want the love where we never have to wonder if we're wanted.

i want us to be so unapologetically affectionate that everyone around us knows we're completely gone for each other.

but i don't think love was ever meant to stop at appearance.

i want to know how you think. how you process your emotions. what you do when life gets hard. do you run away, or do you stay and work through it? i want to know how you love, where your loyalties lie, what your core values are, what you believe in, and how you see the world.

i want to know how you treat people who can't give you anything in return. i want to know whether you're breaking the cycles that hurt you or simply passing them on. i want to know whether you take responsibility for your mistakes or hide behind excuses. i want to know what kind of partner you'll be, what kind of parent you'd become if you ever chose that path, and what kind of person you are when nobody is watching.
