sometimes i think we get it in our heads that everything is a competition. it’s not. write because you want to write. make edits because you want to make edits. and so on and so on. if you’re only participating in an online community for validation or attention i think you might need to take a step back and reevaluate your relationship to it.

my fellow fandom mates you are free to engage with content however you are most comfortable engaging with it. please don’t ever let someone bully or guilt you into thinking there is a right and a wrong way to show your support.

i engage in fandom and share my work when i can because i love it, because it’s fun. some of y’all are here for different reasons i do often fear.

it would do everyone good to remember that behind every blog is a person, here for their own reasons. whether or not those reasons are with good intentions is up in the air.
