I want to send people handwritten letters with a wax seal and an old stamp and slightly yellow, off-white paper and with slightly romantic sign offs and in weird, unusual inks and—
On this note, my best friend has broken her phone and I needed to get a message to her so I wrote her a letter, threw on a first class stamp, and now it should be with her tomorrow.
Yes the letter was also written in an interesting ink; no the paper was not cream/yellowed; it was mildly romantic but only because losers can't understand platonic love nowadays; and I have not got a stamp so I could not seal it.
All in all, a good letter writing experience though and I hope she actually gets it.
I have more to say.
My new friend does this a lot. Like obnoxiously and their wax seal is super fucking pretty. It's too pretty so I HATE it.

Reminder that most of the time people are really nice and you can actually just message them and ask to hang out and they will. I am now baking apple crumble with somebody who I would very much like to be friends with tomorrow. And then we're partying with other people that I'd like to be friends with.
It was the best time ever and now I have a really close friend. I seriously did not look at my phone for almost nine hours. I lost it at my home; that's how much fun I was having. Please reach out to connections and make more friends because you will almost definitely be happier.

The Thick of It is a beautiful TV show and I love the Scottish accent from Capaldi because it makes the ministers seem even more ridiculous because somehow THEY are the ones that you can't take seriously, not the angry, shouty Scot man
