I think I’ve mentioned it before but the reason I make edits is to make ppl feel. I like that whole idea. Because you’re moved by a series or a film, and then I like to encapsulate that feeling of how it made you feel and embody it in an edit. And that to me is the basis of an art form. I originally had a hard time believing that editing was an art form. I mean it’s difficult because you think of great artists and their paintings and sketches and it was such real talent and dedication.

You kind of question yourself like- “ok but can I consider this as art because really, what am I doing?” But I think when it comes down to it, Art is about self expression and it’s there to move you. If it does that job, if it makes you feel, then surely it counts, without comparing it to other forms?

I think there’s a lot of that “imposter syndrome” about - where you question whether it matters. But at the end of the day I’m not doing anything for money or to be “great” LOL. Its just about storytelling and feeling. And her recognising it was less “omg an actor saw it” and more of “wow the woman who brought Caterina to life was moved by it”

 It was Georges idea in a red eyed crazed panic.

There was Mitchell, begging for peace, grasping onto George, thrusting a stake in his hands. And just when he was so close. Just as George had raised his closed fist, stake in hand; but it suddenly fell limp at his side.

“Lets just go! All of us. We’ll just get out of here” he had desperately pleaded. It wasn’t going to end like this. With Mitchell so lost, so…..withdrawn. He rapidly surveyed his surroundings, eyes and head darting across the room.

Mitchell had protested then. He couldn’t see any other way. He just wanted it to be over.

“There!”, George had pointed at the famous wall. The one Annie had originally found tacky but grew to love. “We’ll all go there”
