It's a dream that can't be real

My friends dog Oakley got hit by a trailer the other day, her jugular, esophagus, and trachea were all hanging outside of her. She had one surgery yesterday to put everything back in, and has one more today to help with the broken bones in her back leg. She's expected to make a full recovery as long as she's able to make it through this next surgery. But the vet bills are adding up a lot, and my friend has to pay for them herself because it was a hit and run, and we don't know who is responsible.
