"In Dublins faircity" Firstly..we are loving all of your posts @majestic_dublin đ Why not take advantage of the somewhat #emptystreets of #dublin while you still can. The #city is always #beautiful but you can really take it all in at the moment. The city is steeped in #history and wandering around the city centre is a great #covidfriendly activity. Check out the #templebar area which is usually #bustling at this time of year. You can even review your visit on the #earthcam ( mounted above the pharmacy). Another great area is the #graftonstreet District with lots of lovely side streets for you to #explore and #getlost in. If you have any questions about Dublin feel free to DM us #locals from #letswalkluv đ https://www.earthcam.com/world/ireland/dublin/?cam=templebar (at Temple Bar) https://www.instagram.com/p/CIEMplfncjS/?igshid=1fj1fuxb9t82s

Are you looking for a walk this weekend? what about Ticknock Fairy Castle Loop. The Best Dublin Mountains Walk. The walk roughly is around 2 hours long. One Tip: Dress for the weather. If you plan on going off the path, itâll be muddy after rainfall!!!! #letswalkluv #dublinthingstodo #ticknockmountain #dublinwalksđśđťââď¸ https://www.instagram.com/p/CHzvan7K9QI/?igshid=1givx9umglgz7

One for the kids !! We can't wait until restrictions are eased and the fairy trail and butterfly house are back open in #malahidecastle . Such a magical day out for all the #family, big kids included ! This is a super #budgetfriendly activity nestled in the grounds of #malahidecastle #dublin . There is a guided #walking trail with interactive activities along the way for the younger members to enjoy. Its actually quite a long walk but the #kids had so much #fun they didn't even notice the 12km walked on the grounds. The #butterfly house was great also and having plenty of space for a #picnic , made this super #covid_19 friendly. Check out our story highlights for awesome videos of the butterflies ! Take a deep breath of Brays sea air!
Ok we cheated, Bray is not actually in Dublin but it is so easily accessible from the capital that we couldnât not list it. Bray, Co Wicklow is a beautiful place for a walk with loved ones and is a popular seaside escape for Dubliners and tourists alike. Located just 19km from Dublin, Bray is accessible by both DART and Dublin Bus ( route number 145) and there are also numerous pay and display parking options.
Bray is jampacked with fun activities for you to unwind after a stroll along the promenade or a hike up Bray head which include amusement centres, an aquarium, a bowling alley and a selection of restaurants. The town also plays host to a number of festivals throughout the year.
Take your loved ones on a lovely walk along the promenade, stopping on the lovely stoned beach to watch the waves crash in or skipping one of the many distinguished stones along the surface of the sea. The promenade is a mile long but for those who may think of that a just a warmup, the good news is that at the end of the promenade you will reach the base of Bray head.
The walk-up Bray head is approximately 7km and should take around 2 hours depending on your fitness level. The path is clearly marked with red arrows and will see you reach 100m above sea level at the highest point. The ground conditions and the difficulty level is moderate but it most definitely would be suitable for families with older children. Â Bray has some of the most scenic views in the East of Ireland and the best place to take advantage of these is from the top of Bray head which features a stone cross which was built in 1950 â this is a perfect place to take a photo with your favourite people that will be a memory for years to come ! Â
On a clear day you will get the most amazing views of the sugar loaf mountain, Carrickgollogan and a panoramic view of Bray, Co. Wicklow and Dublin Bay. Although there is no purpose-built seating at the top, there is plenty of grassland where you can lay out a blanket, enjoy a picnic and rejuvenate before your descent to the bottom. While the walk is up hill it is not particularly challenging, it is a great walk for anyone who wants to ease their way into the world of hiking. Comfy shoes and layered clothing is highly recommended as the trail can become quite mucky when it rains. The descent is much quicker and again, it is clearly marked.
There are some lovely seaside shops to visit if you still have some energy to use before heading home. Henry and Rose Chips and Ice-cream , a classic Irish combo are available along the promenade and make the perfect treat for well deserving walkers! Letâs Walk Luv recommends this trip and encourage you to support the local businesses.
Clontarf Bay Is Pure Love
Letâs Walk Luv present you with one of the most popular locations for walks, runs and history and a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve. Clontarf Bay has 6km of extension and has an enjoyable path walk and a cycle lane by the sea, with multiple pit stops along the way. The circuit can start at St Anneâs Park and finishes at East Point or vice versa depending on your current location. During the course, you can stop by gazebos, have a picnic on the green areas and indulge yourself with romantic views.
Throughout the bay, there are many options of restaurants and coffee shops for you to recharge your batteries. Letâs Walk Luv suggests some of the best restaurants for you to enjoy truly Irish delights. Beeshof Bros is a very popular take away fish and chips in the area, so it is worth trying. Bay Restaurant is a must-go when looking for an intimate dinner and special occasions. Kennedyâs Food Store is a genuine Irish CafĂŠ, offering full breakfast and afternoon treats.
Clontarf is located between the northeast side of Dublin, near the port in Dublin 3 and Raheny Dublin 5. The walk is extremely accessible for people with special needs, with plenty of car park spots along the way, it can be explored 24/7 and has access by Dublin Bus lines 13, 29A, 130 or by Dart at Clontarf Station, all coming from City Centre.
Clontarf Bay is connected by 2 of the best parks in North Side of Dublin with a beach in the middle and a natural reserve. St Annesâ Park (PĂĄirc Naomh Ăine) is located near Raheny, there you will find football and Gaelic football fields, childrenâs and dogâs playground, also, a rose garden.
Half away through is located Bull Island (OileĂĄn an Tairbh) which is a sandy beach and a nature reserve. The place is home for many wildlife species and is protected by UNESCO as the only Biosphere Reserve worldwide which includes within its area a national capital city.
Fairview Park (PĂĄirc Fionnradharc) situated in the south end of the bay offers a vast green area for sports of all types, childrenâs playground and tree-lined walks.
When looking for a nice place to walk with easy access and hidden gems, donât look further as Clontarf Bay may surprise you.
The photos on this post were registered by the Irish landscape photographer Bryan Hanna and are available at his online store.

HOWTH
Feel the fresh air and enjoy the seaside view on top of the hill of Howth. One of the most favourite activities for Dubliners and tourists to be explored all year round. Â
The popularity of Howth comes from its diversity of activities including walks and hiking. There are 5 different walks around the village for you to embark on an amazing adventure, simply follow the arrow signs located at the top of the cliff or at the harbour. Each sign indicates a specific colour that leads to a different path. All routes vary between 1.5 to 3 hours in duration and, they are very easy, with beautiful scenery and family friendly, unfortunately they are not recommended for wheelchairs users.
All paths are well signposted, you can follow them from the town up to The Howth Cliff Path Loop , which is the most popular also, on the way up you can enjoy the seabirds as well as the grey seals in the ocean on most days.
There is a wonderful Howth Market where you will fine food and arts, also if you are looking for a fine dining experience there are plenty of restaurants and pubs that you can enjoy by the end of the walking route and, if you are just looking for a quick tasty meal you must have some amazing fish and chips from Beshoff Bro or Leo Burdocks , which are perfect to end the day along the port.
Howth is well linked by public transport, the quickest way is by DART, but there is also a Dublin bus route which has a final stop at the summit, the number 31/a. Both transports' options depart from city centre (just remember to have ready your Leap Card or coins for the driver).
If you wish to drive, there is free parking around the summit or harbour! The Summit on the south and The Kilrock on the north side of the hill.( Click the link for direction). Kilrock car park has a small coffee shop called The Cliff, where you can grab tea or coffee for those colder days, and you can also find fishing supplies. Letâs Walk Luv recommends this trip and encourage you to support the local businesses.
