I genuinely believe Fu is in love with the player character, because whenever it comes to the player character, I feel like Fu tries harder than with anyone else, like this is coming from the character that seen the death of Bardock and depending on what you choose, Android 16 or Gamma 2, and it genuinely feels like he doesn't bat an eye or try as hard as he did to save them compared to how much he tried to save the player character. Also, he constantly feels like he freaks out more when he's thinking about the player character, but keeps it hidden, like remember at the end of Future Saga Chapter 3, Fu didn't worry about his plan failing until he was away from everyone and back in the Crack of Time, like he didn't want anyone to actually see how he feels.
