Introverts United

I think too much. I think ahead. I think behind. I think sideways. I think it all. If it exists, I’ve fucking thought of it

As socially awkward as I can be, I’ve never felt introverted. Around deeply introverted people, I act as if I were an extrovert, and yet when I’m around pure extroverts, it’s blatantly obvious how much of an introvert I really am. It’s so confusing.

It’s not that I hate people. But after spending too much time with them, I find myself being angry and really annoyed.

People think I’m shy but I am not. I just can’t find a topic for conversation. I don’t want a vapid talk. And I like to listen rather than talk. It’s easy but no one understands.

Introvert at parties:

I don’t understand how people can call others ‘friends’ so easily. Almost everyone is some sort of an acquaintance to me and it takes a long, long time for someone to be promoted to friend status. And I hardly let anyone who isn’t my friend know anything about me. Meanwhile, everyone around me is making new friends everyday and telling everyone everything about themselves. That’s just strange, and dangerous.

introversion: a guide

Introverts are collectors of thoughts, and solitude is where the collection is curated and rearranged to make sense of the present and future.

Maybe the reason introverts are so often misunderstood is because extroverts all live in a similar external environment. But each and every introvert lives in a unique and separate universe that only they can see.
