I read from Plutarch that during the winter months Apollo was known to leave Delphi and go to the Hyperboreans (to the land of eternal spring), and at this time Dionysus usually took his place at the temple. During this period, the prophecies in the temple stopped, and the priests organized rituals and festivals in honor of Dionysus.

This was my final project for a Mythological Receptions and Adaptations course where I adapted the Apollo sections of the Iliad to explore his POV and feelings during it
