The Mynabirds premiered a beautifully sorrowful new single, “Leonora” in the new issue of Radio Silence and I made the cover for it.  The song depicts a fictitious letter written by artist Max Ernst to his lover when he had to flee Europe during World War II.

The Casanova of LaSalle Street by Joseph Epstein.  Illustration from over the summer for Standpoint Magazine in the UK.  The story follows an adulterous man who’s courting a new lady. At their first date, they run into his father who is there with a woman other than his wife while holding open the door for the son’s date.  The awkward confrontation leads them to realize this other side of one another.  After the younger woman breaks things off, the son discovers why- his father swooped in and won over the young woman that the son brought to the restaurant.  Classy family.  Acrylic, graphite and colored pencil on paper.

Junta High by Clay McLeod Chapman.  Poster artwork for Theatre VCU.  “ Imagine a world where students are terrorists and school spirit is to die for, literally. Inspired by the terrors of war, Junta High depicts the nightmares of an American high school turned war-zone and powerfully sheds light on fanaticism and the world in which we live.”  A dark and brutal production commenting on war, terrorism, violence and guns in America.
