he really does look like an angel, doesn't he?

I wanted to make a little illustration of the king's surrounding back in 1650. Why that year specifically, for two reasons: for one, multiple actors who would become important in the royal family's surroundings started appearing, like the Mancini and the Lorraines, and secondly, it was a very unique time in that it was right in the middle of the Fronde, and the life at Palais-Royal was quite different than what had come before or would come after; more familial, far more feminine, and quite fun overall, despite the climate of adversity and chaos reigning on the capital.

I'm STILL not done with Qiye, I promise the TL is making (slow) progress, but in the meantime I'm gonna go all crazy about french history from the XVII century and likely post in french and english a lot more and yeah, that's it, haha. In the meantime, here above is my new obsession, Philippe d'Orléans in the center, known to be a debauched sodomite and yet he's so much more than that (I've been DEVOURING BIOGRAPHIES AND EVERYTHING I COULD FIND AUGH), surrounded by three of his most prominent favourites, which... I'll yap about as well in no time. So yes hi hello MT is going through some recycling and now means Monsieur Time I guess 🙌🙌🙌🙌 Also I've been having some fun with new techniques and I'll probably yap about that as well. And the books I'm reading UNDENIABLY.
