Lesbians United’s review of the evidence on puberty suppression is out NOW as a free PDF. “Puberty Suppression: Medicine or Malpractice?” cites over 300 sources, and catalogs over 100 side effects of puberty-suppressing drugs. Get it at https://lesbians-united.org/resources.html
Our report delves into better-designed studies of adults taking GnRH agonists (now marketed as “puberty blockers”), which document side effects ranging from osteoporosis and heart attack to depression and fibromyalgia. This is a vast body of evidence - and extremely important, since recent studies of puberty suppression are generally of low quality, with small sample sizes, poor exclusion criteria, high rates of loss to follow-up, and flawed data analysis.
“Puberty Suppression: Medicine or Malpractice?” is endorsed by Get the L Out UK, LAVA Aotearoa, Lesbian Fightback, Lesbian Labour, Lesbian MeToo, Lesbian Strength, Résistance Lesbienne, and Scottish Lesbians. Lesbians around the world oppose the sexual medical abuse of children. Do you?
