Usually Zen was the type of person that would drift off to a deep sleep as soon as he hit the bed. Thatโs why you found yourself surprised when, during the night, you woke up because he wouldnโt stop moving.ย
โZen, why are you awake?โ, you whispered with a worried tone.
โIโฆ I woke up because I had a bad dream, and now I canโt fall asleepโฆโ, he looked distressed. You werenโt used ti seeing him like that.
โWhat happened, love?โ, you said, stroking his hair. He closed his eyes under your touch, he seemed calmer now. You felt lighter in your chest knowing that your touch was able to bring him good.
โYou know how we are visiting my parents next weekโฆ Wellโฆ Iโve been thinking so much about that and I dreamt of the worst case scenario that could happen: my parents rejecting me again, embarrassing me in front of you, you leaving me because of thatโฆโ, you opened your mouth in shock.ย
Did he really believe you could leave him because of the opinion of his parents? You showered his face in kisses.ย โDonโt ever believe that Zen, donโt even think about that. I love you and thereโs nothing and no one that is going to change thatโ.
โHoney, you always know what to tell meโ, he said kissing you and taking you into his arms. Not long after that you both fell asleep, cuddling each other. Together, you felt stronger.
Youโd had a movie night, falling asleep in the couch together. Not in the most comfortable positions, but watching so many movies consecutively has ended with your power.
In the middle of the night, you woke up feeling a shot of pain at your side. Yes, you had fallen from the couch. Then, you noticed that Yoosung wasnโt present in the room. Maybe he woke up and decided to go to his own bed?
You searched for him in his room, but he was nowhere to be seen. Strangeโฆ You went through the apartment and heard some sniffles coming from the bathroom. You knocked lightly,ย โYoosung, are you in there?โ, you said lightly.
He took a while to open the door, his eyes were puffy and red and his face was wet, probably because he had washed his face to try to hide the tears that were there before. You gave him a strong hug, your hands tracing the curves of his back in a confronting gesture.ย
โIt was the same dreamโฆโ, he whispered.ย โShโฆ I know, you donโt have to tell meโ, you whispered while not letting him escape your embrace. Since the accident with Mint Eye, he kept dreaming of being captured again. Only time would cure the trauma that experience had caused him.
โDo you want to go back to sleep?โ, he took a sharp breath.ย
โI-I donโt think I canโฆโ
โWell, we still have another movie from The Lord of the Rings to watch. Cโmon, Iโll make some popcornโ, you said and he smiled. He still couldnโt bare in his mind how he had met a girl that could understand him so much. He had no doubts that thanks to you, everything will turn out to be okay.
You were a light sleeper, thatโs why you woke up as soon as you heard some light sound coming from your side. Jaehee was awake, her shoulders were moving slightly.
โJaehee, whatโs happening?โ, she hid her face deeper into the pillow.
โNothingโs wrong. Sorry if I woke you upโ, her voice was raspy. Your heart sank into your chest, she sounded like she had been crying for a while now.
โJaeheeโฆ Look at me, pleaseโ, you touched lightly her arm. She turned to face you and you saw that her face was covered in tears. You had never see her cry like that. You put a kiss on her forehead.ย
โI had a bad dream, about my familyโฆโ, her eyes seemed to be in another place right now.ย โBut I canโt talk about it right now.โ, you caressed her cheek with your fingers, collecting the tears that were still falling from her eyes.
โYou donโt have to, only when youโre ready. I just want you to know that I will listen to you, whenever you want. I donโt want to pressure youโ, you knew Jaehee had trust issues. You didnโt want to push your luck any further, you wanted her to trust you.
โTell me, what do you want right now?โ, she smiled while blushing.
โSpoon meโ, you chuckled, but very gladly obliged. You hugged her from behind, gently brushing your fingers through her spine and arms. You sensed how her breath turned steady and slow. You smiled. She felt safe with you.
Why am I so cold? You woke up shivering and looked at the clock, it was 3 am. You were sleeping bare, you remembered how you fell asleep in Juminโs arms, his body kept you warm through the night. But he was not here anymore.
You stood up putting on a robe. Where was he? It wasnโt his style to wake up in the middle of the night to go for walks. Usually he slept ininterruptively through out the night.ย
You found him in the living room, a cup of wine in his hand, looking at the city lights through the window. He had the bottle of wine next to him, it was half empty.
โJumin? What are you doing?โ, he jumped slightly in his seat. He was not the type to get surprised, as he was always focused in every detail that was happening. Something was up.
โOhโฆ I justโฆ Couldnโt sleep.โ, he was acting strange. You sat next to him, taking his hand.ย
โYou can talk to me, you know? You donโt have to down your sorrows in alcoholโฆโ, he sighed.ย
โI know, but thatโs what Iโm used to. I know itโs not the solution, but Iโm not used to talking about my feelingsโฆ Well, in this case about my nightmare.โ, your senses sharpened. You gave him a peck.
โYou can trust meโ, he put the cup at the table and started telling you about his nightmare. It was all related to his work, his father, his childhoodโฆ All the things that troubled him summarized in just one dream. During that time, you continued to show him your support, touching an squeezing his hand.
โItโs strange. I always thought that narrating my preoccupations would be painful, but I feel relievedโ, you smiled.
โI am glad, you can always trust me for this.โ, he smiled, kissing you.
โY/N, you are hereโ, you felt Sevenโs arm hold you strong from behind. You turned to look at him. His eyes were dark, and the look on his face was tortured.
โSevenโฆ What happened?โ, you said, taking his hand and kissing his knuckles. You learned that he loved when you did that simple gesture.ย
โYouโre here, youโre safeโฆโ, he repeated, not loosening his grip. He placed a small kiss under your ear, making you shiver.
โSeven please, tell me what happenedโ, you begged him. It troubled you to seem that something whatโs wrong and not being able to comfort him in any way,
โDonโt worry, Y/N. I just had a bad dream that you were gone. But you are here, so Iโm safeโ, you placed a hand over his chest. His heart was beating very fast.
โYou are the one who had a bad dream and it feels like you are the one taking care of meโ, you teased him while escaping his embrace.ย โLet me take care of you, Saeyoungโ, his eyes lightened up when you used his real name. You cupped his cheeks, placing a small peck in his lips. Well, you thought it was going to be small, but he deepened the kiss.
You kissed for a while, you didnโt even know how much time had passed. But when you finally broke the kiss, he was smiling, not a single trace of darkness was left on his faรงade.ย
โThank you, Y/N. I love youโ, you kissed him again. Sometimes, acts spoke louder than words.
