We can't always get what we want but that does not mean we can't try. Sometimes we have to stay longer than we thought we had to in the tunnel before accepting the light that's at the end of it. Because, we may get to the light in the rush to get over the pain but we'll never reach the solace of being strong again to accept the reality. There will always be a part of us that will never cross the tunnel with us,leaving us bit by bit but not every time we need to be whole for us to feel complete . Sometimes being incomplete is all we need. To get through those nightmares, those shock waves that come out of nowhere, shattering us into millions of pieces. We think we deserve it,but the truth is.... sometimes we need to feel pain to remind ourselves that we are only human and need to get through with it, with us, our demons. Only to stand back with the version of ourselves that will never be the one we want but the one we need. . . .
