       "Come here for practice like some of the others? Or just passing through?“    the soldier asked quietly.

                       ❝   I was just passing through.   ❞       Wasn’t this that Cloud guy? He's the one that half-baked angel was on about, wasn’t he? He wasn’t looking to spar or anything, was he? Of course, it had been a long while since he’d come across a Manikin, a fight might do him a little good. Never hurt to stretch his muscles a bit.                        ❝   Why? Are you looking to fight or something?    ❞

“ I’d…have to check. ” Kael glanced over his shoulder at one of the other workers before focusing back on the customer. This was why he hated tending the bar. This was why he rarely did it. He’d never been good at customer chitchat. As much as he hated it too, he’d rather be wiping tables right now. In fact, he was so used to being the errand boy that he’d half-forgotten that specials were even a possibility. “ I don’t really do drinks preparation and stuff, sorry. I’m just a part-timer. ” Kael could already guess he’d be scolded for this later on but he couldn’t do what he didn’t know how to do. “ I’m not a bartender. ”

                       ❝   It’s okay. I’ll just have a water then.   ❞        Okay, a drink wasn’t too important. At least he was out in public rather than hiding in his bedroom. A water would do nicely, for now. Today was more about getting out and about than getting tipsy. At least he was ( sort of ) making an effort to socialize.
