Author's note: My mind was going wild with this idea... I couldn't go without both making a request and writing it myself for self-indulgence.
Today had been quite stressful.
How unfortunate Reign was to become prefect of this school.
Every single soul had run to her about small things.
Even big things she wanted no part in.
Of course, she was fully willing to help, but now she was tired.
Her head was pounding, and her body ached.
She needed to lie down...
Maybe a cuddle with Leona would help?
They had started dating not too long ago, though neither of them spoke a word of being boyfriend and girlfriend.
They just... did it. Everyone could see it.
Their established relationship.
It was obvious to the whole school, especially with the way they'd look at each other.
Though, Leona loved to tease the prefect, getting on her nerves.
Despite this, Reign never stayed mad at him.
Neither seemed to mind PDA much, but Leona never got too mushy in front of others, seeing how he had a reputation to uphold.
Reign, on the other hand, had no issue with showing emotion in front of others.
To outside parties, she was the more affectionate of the two.
She made her way to the botanical gardens, finding it relaxing.
The sun was setting, and it was quite a sight to see.
Colors faded into each other like paint on a canvas.
The garden was bathed in the deep orange sunlight, changing the tints of the flowers.
Reign found Leona laying under a tree, resting peacefully.
The light peered through the leaves, shedding a gentle light upon his face.
He truly was beautiful...
Hearing Reign set her bag down and settle next to him, Leona's ear twitched.
He opened one eye to gaze upon her figure framed by the light.
He could see how exhausted she was. She must've been bombarded by those nuisances again...
Why did she always play mother for them?
He didn't understand it. Even after she explained it to him...
How can one be so kind to others... yet so fierce..?
Someone who doesn't compare or overwhelm others with their ideals...
Someone with self-love and self-respect, yet they don't see their own beauty.
To both love and loath yourself....
She was like a mythical creature.
Leona didn't understand her.
His hand reached up, pulling her down into his chest.
Reign jolted slightly at the sudden touch, but once she felt his warmth, she melted.
This was just what she needed.
Neither of them spoke, only being in eachother's company.
That was all they needed..
Reign felt a warm touch on her cheek.. soft...
Gentle against her skin.. What was this..?
It felt nice... Foreign, but not unwelcome.
She sucked in a quiet, shaken breath and froze.
Her mind became jumbled up in a romantic haze.
Leona's hand rested against her cheek, thumb rubbing against it with care.
He heard the way her heart rate picked up and felt how she stiffened.
"What's wrong, Herbivore?" Leona asked, looking at her with concern.
Reign stammered, trying to get her words out.
This gentle touch... It was tender... sweet.
"I-I haven't... been touched like this... in so long..." She said softly.
She felt like crying... How long had she gone like this?
She couldn't function properly.
Leona couldn't help but chuckle.
His other hand rubbed soothing circles into her back.
If she hadn't felt a gentle touch, he'd give it to her.
Reign melted further into him....
Leona could see how much she needed this.
Reign closed her eyes, basking in his touch.
She could hardly contain herself... She wanted to hold back her smile, but she couldn't.
What a rare sight... That big goofy grin she always got when she felt loved...
Sometimes, Leona wondered what had damaged her so much to nearly ruin that smile.
He didn't want to open any old wounds.
They remained that way until the sun went down and the moon was high in the sky.
Both had fallen asleep, resting peacefully together.
They both needed this time... Alone with no interruptions.
Some time to be tender with one another.
