“Yup,” she answered as she held up one finger to go and get all the DVD set of all three movies, then came right back. “Just got them in a couple days ago. Wanna rent it?”

“Hell yeah. Don’t laugh, I’m a nerd, I get it.”

“That’s because you’re way more annoying than I am.”

“That’s one hundred percent not true. You’re the most annoying wolf I’ve ever met.”

“Oh I would.” Still he poured out a tequila shot setting it beside the rum. “Don’t ever claim I’m not your favorite bartender, because I’ll hear about it and then you’ll really be in trouble.”

“You’re a fucking saint Jack. Take one with me.”

“Alright. It’s okay. Maybe you should get out of here. Follow me, I know a shortcut to the woods.”

“Just a little brother and sister. Got cousins all around Canada though.”

Cressida laughed, laced with flirtatious undertones. “Well, I need to pay my tuition fees somehow. My friend got a… sugar daddy, but I thought this was way more… nicer, I guess.”

“A sugar daddy? Jesus. Kids are actually doing that?”

    “Thanks, man. I owe you one. Fancy a beer?”

“Of course I do. Have I ever actually turned that down?”

“Alright alright, jesus. You’d do anything for a free drink. Consider me having suffered enough, what do you want? You say tequila and I’ll kick you out.”

“You wouldn’t. But fine, rum and coke.”

“Touche. Buy your own drink and quit being a scab.” He said, tossing a twenty onto the bar.

“How has no one killed you yet? I get threatened with death all the time, and I’m like ten times nicer than you.”

Leo stood there in shock for a second, as he’d never heard Lara raise her voice and definitely not to him. He pushed past the people that were now staring in the wolf’s direction and put a hand on her shoulder. “Lara, it’s okay, I won’t ask, I’m sorry. Just tell me if you’re okay.”

"My family’s lived here practically since it was founded. Can’t imagine living anywhere else, to be honest.”

“Spring chicken?” Cressida replied, amused. Biting her lower lip, the girl paused before nodding. “Fine.”

"Thank you Cressida, I’ll remember this. How’d you get a job here anyway? I should card you.”

"What’s wrong with being a girl Bells? Gosh, you’re so sexist.”

“I swear I’ll choke you if I end up getting booked, that’s not a joke. I even thought about getting you something, but whatever — I’ll hold back that idea.”

“Elena, run. We gotta move.”

“Movies, DVDs, tapes, CDs, computers-libraries aren’t just for books, you know.”

“You got Lord of the Rings?”

“Only crying I would do is laughing too hard when you lose. But game on.”

"Oh man. You have no idea what you’re in for. Let’s say...next friday is the end. Loser buys drinks.”

Mercy laughed a bit and shook her head. ‘It’s a library, where people come for books…but if you wandered in here by mistake, somethin’ tells me that yer lookin’ fer somethin’ else other than books, sir.”
