Titanic (film) trivia: On September 19 1996, Dicaprio arrived on the Titanic set and for his first day of filming was charged with the formidable task of sketching Winslet’s voluptuous form. It just happened to work out that the first scene Kate and Leo shot for the film involved her dropping her clothes, but the timing, the director says, was fortuitous. “It created a kind of tension and nervous-ness between them that served the scene very well.”
