Unironically getting so into the beatles rn like tell me why i was sobbing so hard last night abt john lennon and george harrison

The concept of the Beatles being in Hamburg fucking prostitues robbing sailors and living on prellies and beer in 1962 and then a year later in 1963 they’re doing ageo in uniforms for the BBC at 3 o clock sharp so that the 12 year olds won’t miss it

I think if John Lennon was alive for twitter he would try to be progressive and say something like “I’m a lesbian because I love women” and then be like “what makes a woman, anyways” but not in a transphobic way rather quite the opposite where he’s trying to break the boxes we traditionally put women into and make people think harder about it. But because he’d be like in his 70s when he posts this it really wouldn’t land at all and half of the internet would read it as him being homophobic transphobic and misogynistic but the other half would instead read it as him being an elderly he/him trans lesbian.
