Im asking because I was up late and randomly had the thought “Tobias would like Sudowoodo” and now I need answers

I actually don't think Tobi would have a Sudowoodo because he's technically a rock type pokemon. I think if anyone had one of those it would be Greenley lmao.

Buttttt I think Tobi would have a Farfetch'd to help him collect and carve wood.

Fenn would have an Ivysaur that would help him garden and collect ingredients!

1) if Francis lived, which of Tobi and Edward's parents would have treated him "better"?

Aka, who would Tobi feel more attached to or more comfortable with?

2) if Francis lived, would Edward still stay close to Tobi, or would they eventually drift apart?

3) like you said previously, if Francis lived, Tobi would have probably been more like his family. I assume he wouldn't be working at the border. So, if Tobi somehow met Fenn again, what circumstances would it be in?

4) final question, if Tobi somehow did end up working at the border even when Francis had lived, how would Tobi react to the wall breaking down, having to interact with Fenn, etc. would they end up bonding anyway, or would Tobi have a more similar reaction to Fenn, and kinda just end up screaming at each other?

Honestly neither. They would still think of Tobi as lesser than Edward. His dad being there would just have forced Tobi into being more militant at a younger age. He still would have been neglected by them to a degree, but it would be like walking on eggshells constantly, trying not to disappoint one or the other.

If I really had to stretch, Francis would see Tobi as more of an important asset rather than a useless one? Whereas Vivienne sees him as something they didn't need. So I guess...there is that.

The thing is, Francis being alive would change who Tobi ended up being. I think his rebellious side would still be there but it would be very hidden, because his punishments were harsher.

He'd probably end up as more of a rival sibling, trying to compete. So no I don't think they'd be close, and if anything, Tobi would resent Edward for always getting special treatment.

Probably something like...Fenn was a prisoner of war while Tobi was working as an officer under Edward. OR they would meet on a battlefield as enemies but end up having to work together for someeee reason.

Honestly that AU would be a lot darker and grittier, because both Fenn and Tobi would have to address their prejudices and there would be war going on around them. I still think they could have a happy ending in this AU but it be...completely different. Very messy lol.

Hmmm this is a hard one. Underneath everything Tobi is still Tobi, and years away from his family would have made him more jaded and apathetic like he is now.

However I think his motives may have been different. Tobi may actually have been untrustworthy, and would try to be getting information for his family AT FIRST. (Mostly because he wanted to gain favor with them and show he was useful over his brother).

So he would probably plan to betray Fenn but end up falling for him instead. Something like that. It would have been a different story for sure.

I still believe though in every universe they would end up together, even if the road there was more difficult 💖

I will share one! I've been wanting to show Tobi with his little coffee kettle and him making coffee and Fenn despising it 😂

Fenn has never had coffee, I'm having it they are tea drinkers in Sona (yes very British lol). But I wanted to do a moment with Fenn trying coffee and absolutely hating it and then Fenn insisting Tobi try tea (which Tobi thinks is ok but he enjoys coffee more) and it BAFFLES Fenn. So he'd just continue to have Tobi try different teas over the course of their time together lmao. He might even use flowers for tea and give Tobi a whole speech about it and Tobi is like 'yeah this is nice but coffee is better'. Lmaooo

Anyway it really has nothing to do with the story obviously, it's just a little character thing that I haven't had a place for. I think if I could go back I MIGHT actually have inserted it into the beginning section of the story when they were still enemies so I could have it pop back up throughout the story but oh welllll.

There were others but I'm going to keep them secret for now!

Here are your Francis answers!

1. How much older is he than Vivienne?

About 4 years older

2. How old was he when he was married off to Vivienne?

Vivienne was 19 when they were married, Francis was 23.

3. What did he think of Edward and Tobi.?

He thought of them as his heirs. He didn't want any part in the raising of them (as in changing diapers, feeding them, playing with them, ect), he considers that work for a nanny (aka Alice).

As Edward grew, Francis felt he showed promise in his academics and wanted to make sure he had the most opportunities for success. If there was one thing him and Vivienne did agree on it was that Edward needed to be great, and Edward had no choice in that regard. It was his duty to represent their family.

As for Tobi, he thought of him as a spare child but still an important one. If Francis would have lived longer, Tobi may have gotten a similar treatment to Edward. Not as harsh but Francis would want to prepare Tobias in case something happened to Edward (like illness, death on the battlefield, ect). Once he died, Vivienne saw that sort of thing as a waste of time because Edward was planned to be 'perfect'. So Tobi was basically forgotten.

4. How would he act towards Edward and Tobi today if he was still alive?

He would think Edward turned out well, but he'd never give him praise. He would always expect the best and would probably berate him for doing anything less than.

As for Tobi...if Tobi was as he is now, Francis would be HIGHLY disappointed. Tobi would probably be banned from family functions and his punishments would have been more harsh.

However as I said above, I don't think Tobi would be the same if Francis had survived. Tobi would probably be more like the rest of his family because he would have been forced into more rigorous military training much earlier and wouldn't have had any say in it. Also, Tobi would always be compared to Edward and Francis would bring this up constantly.

Francis living definitely would have made Tobi's life even harder than it is now. Vivienne is indifferent to Tobi and only focuses on Edward. Francis was an enforcer and would expect the same out of Tobi as he did with Edward.

5. Will we get to know anything about him in the future?

Yes we will.

Also fun fact, I almost named Francis, Julian. He was Julian for a long time in my head but when I put Julian and Vivienne together, they sounded too similar. So I changed it to Francis. I still sometimes think of him as Julian though lmao.

Is Edward really going to go back on Tobias's agreement before Tobias went into 4 year exile? What if what Tobias is saying is not all true. When Tobias say "His family hates him?", Do they really hate him? Or Are they just complicated?
