How does Fenn keep his hair so perfect? Does he cut it? If so, how?

1. How does Fenn keep his hair so perfect? Does he cut it? If so, how?

He trims his hair, he has scissors, a comb, and a few razors. He never lets it get too long so it's easier for him (although while Tobi was staying with him, he let it go a little bit). To keep it slicked back he uses a small bit of gel. He gets some in his supplies every 6 months or so.

2. Why doesn't Tobi cut his hair?

Tobi keeps his hair long because he can. It's more of a defiant act more than anything. He does like it longer but he's been forced to have it a certain length and look his whole life, and then when he joined the military they forced him to cut it even more. Now that he's alone at Faroff, he can wear it however he likes without being punished. So that's why he just lets it grow and grow.

3. How would Fenn react if he did?

Fenn would think Tobi looks very handsome and it make him blush 🥹 (Tbh Fenn would be the one to cut it if Tobi wanted short hair. He'd definitely offer his services and Tobi would let him). Short hair, long hair...doesn't matter. He just likes Tobi in all forms.

A few months back I drew these designs for a Flapper Girl AU at the request of my wonderful friend @codthefishgod (who came up with the idea for the AU in the first place), and for some reason I never actually posted it, which they reminded me of the other day because they want to be able to credit me if/when they use the designs I made.

There was actually an earlier version of these designs that I didn't end up liking so much. Gwen's (female!fenn) design stayed pretty much the same in both versions, but Tabi's (female!tobi) design changed pretty drastically, and I'm honestly so much happier about the final result. Like I said, these are from a few months back, but if I were to make them today they'd probably look around the same, just maybe slightly more polished.

I could make some comments on my design choices, but I think I'll leave that for another time, or if anyone specifically asks me. Also if you want to know more about this AU and the girls you should probably ask the fish person themselves, since this is THEIR AU after all.

Honestly the whole beginning of this episode just felt like typical Fenn trying to justify himself in what his mind is actually telling him to do. “It is a soldier's duty to care for another injured soldier! Even in these… Extenuating circumstances… I… suppose?” Dude! You're conflicted about it! You're trying so damned hard to find some excuse as to why it would be the right thing to do if you! Left him to die! Tobi hypothetically getting hurt is more important to him than someone else ACTUALLY being hurt!!
