I just wish egalitarianism was the norm instead of feminism.

I wish women had all the same rights as men.

In most ways they do; in other ways they have more. Egalitarianism is the way to go when it comes to addressing inequalities that exist on both sides, and without making this a gender war, which feminism tends to do.

Most Tumblr Feminists are horrible people. Have you visited Feminism101 recently? Read any Tumblr posts? Searched the internet? Watched a feminist youtube video? Heard the names Zoe Quinn and Anita Sarkeesian? Feminists are bigoted horrible assholes who self-victimize women. The 2 I listed make a career out of lying and twisting stories. You’d think feminists were horrible too if you had a group of them treating you like sub-human garbage and when you argue back, told your opinions don’t matter because of your gender. Well actually, they do. Because if you disagree with them and you’re a woman, you’re just honing your “repressed misogyny” caused by the patriarchy brainwashing you.  So, either way to feminists you’re always wrong unless you’re a victimized woman.

There is no difference between “Feminist” and “Radical Feminist.” They’re both the same. Feminism has taken on the form of “Radical Feminist” and if you don’t think you’re like “Radical feminist” perhaps stop using the term “feminist.” You really think that harassing men on the internet and redefining words and twisting it so that women are constantly victims isn’t horrible? I can give you tons of examples of why they are horrible people. First and foremost, the fact that they don’t empower women at all and their whole thing basically degrades and victimizes them. Do you, as a woman, think you’re a helpless victim who needs coddling? Do you think other women and groups should speak on your behalf? If no, then you’re not a feminist, and most likely don’t share the views they do. How is anything I said insulting you? Claiming I “insulted you” by offering my opinion or going against something you said. That right there is a feminist tactic. Having a discussion is not “insulting” a person.

Sharing my opinion does not qualify as telling anyone what to do, let alone victimizing them. Also, my post comes from a personal anecdote. I’m not stating a general fact, or a scientific law. I respect the fact that you disagree with me, but it is wrong to go after a simple thought when you don’t know the context behind it.

It may be irrelevant for you, but not for me. I completely  understand your point, and I thank you for pointing it out, but then again, this is merely a matter of two different people expressing different views.

That’s already been established. Not your reasoning behind your opinion. Perhaps it’s just me, but I normally don’t share things with the internet or a blog without expecting some sort of feedback or discussion on the issue. At this point it seems like you’re convincing me that your post is a harmless thing you just felt like posting in passing and everyone should just look away. I literally know of 0 guys who find this attractive. I do know of a lot of people who do want themselves to feel needed by their partner. That just seems commonplace in a relationship I believe though. Otherwise, what’s the point of a relationship if you don’t support each other?

See, I can understand having a balanced relationship and needing each other. What I don’t understand is how a guy could be focus on one girl and then immediately divert all of their attention and energy to another girl who pulls this stupid act, and then find that more attractive than someone is fully capable of doing things on her own. Has that primitive instinct of needing a man to do things for you, still not left our society? And what for! I think you misread the article slightly. I’m not sure that’s what it implied. It’s also not implying that this works only for girls and specifically for them. The article is mentioning an actual psychological technique to get someone to pay attention to you. It works too, regardless of gender. Drop a bunch of books or papers in a public place where people notice you, or in front of an acquaintance. As odd as it is to believe, helping others is human nature and usually another person will want to help. It CAN be used as an opening to start dialog or get someone to like you... But I’d take this article with a grain of salt. Not all psychological tricks are guaranteed to work. I don’t see the part where a guy is focusing on a girl and then prioritizing another girl because she’s acting helpless implied in this article at all. Sorry but I think you’re getting more out of this article’s #10 tip than what’s implied by it. I’m not reading any of the extra things you’re stating in your posts VS this “tip” / article. The article simply states that if you play the victim or act like you need help, most likely others will come to your aid.  I’m not finding the “Men would rather have distressed women instead of an empowered woman” in this. Sorry.
